This colourful twist on the Battlefield series has had a healthy beta, and is looking pretty fine for its Q4 release date. Free to play, unless you want to dress up your soldier like a Mongolian clown sheriff, Heroes hopes to make war fun again. You know, like it used to be.

The best things in life are free apparently, which explains why an original pressing of the White Album will cost you one and a half kidneys on Ebay. Battlefield Heroes is free, however, and although we haven't seen a great deal of it yet, it looks stiffeningly brilliant so far.
