...just finished watching In The Mouth of Madness (still reckon Carpenter stuff is overrated)...and...

...I was trying to think of a film I saw once. It's about a guy who can dream the future and sees the end of the world. I think it was mid-late 80s.

There's a cool piece when he's on a train with the lead female and he manipulates the dream so he can cop off. I think he manages to save the president from a nuke or something bullshitty.

...ten points if you get the film name.

Sorry. Just hoping someone can help /small shrug

The Dead Zone.

I got there.

I'm sure there was a filth section in there, could be wrong.

Chris Walken cops off with Brooke Adams... but not on a train. You sure that's the right movie?

He certainly doesn't save the president either...

It was Dreamscape; where the copping off occurred.

Move along move along. Nothing to see here but Alzheimers.

Cheers all.

Gonna search out both films, worth a watch I reckon

Me and my g/f both sort of remember parts of a film but can't remember what its called... We think it might have felt similar to The Devils Backbone and The Orphanage which we just watched, hence these vague memories of this other film.

Ok, here goes...

- Girl lives in large institution type building - orphanage, asylum?

- Finds some thing in garden - abandoned vehicles, box files, large crumbling stone archway, cat with kittens?

- She is chased by ghosts to large open shower room, breaks mirror and crawls into something with a sliding door which leads to derelict hospital corridor with rooms leading off but you only see the corridor from the opening door...

- I think the owners of the building used the hospital to keep the children in and let them all die down there?

- The girl dies in the end in the hidden hospital corridor, she can now see how it looked in the past and is now surrounded by the children, the girl may or may not have been pregnant too?

We can definitely remember watching something... otherwise we’re having a very odd shared memory! ;-)

Its all very vague, so any suggestions greatly appreciated!

I was quite stoked to see this (whatever it is) until I got to your spoiler...

OK, got it... actually found it from this review of the The Orphanage.

En Internado : Saint Ange : House of Voices (2004)

Review...

Trailer...

Think we'll need to re-watch it, as the reviews make it sound worse than we remember! Probably not worth the effort tracking it down, and soz about the huge spoiler! /o\

edit: repairmanjack, can you edit/delete my spoiler para in you post, cheers!

No, does have Rodman though! Thanks for the prompt.

A quick seach reveals it was Simon Sez. A true classic if ever there was one
