Hey guys!

I've decided that I'm finally going to splash some cash on this excellent little DC game.

There are seemingly two (possibly more) versions available in Japan. They seem to have different covers etc, but does anyone know if the second version has any in-game enhancements?

Heh heh - I thought I'd mixed it up with the Last Blade 2 first and second versions - but there is indeed a second version of Garou too.

I didn't want to fork out £20.00 for the first version, to then find out that the second version was 'where it's really at'! ;)

No difference at all, the same fantastic fighting game is contained in both. One was a budget re-release that's all.

Toying with the idea of getting a Dweamcast again.

Hmm...

See if I can find an RGB lead for one first.

Gonna say something quite controversial now........ I think its better than 3rd Strike.

@ Introspectre - Dooo it. You can buy official RGB leads off Amazon for just under a fiver (boxed).

@ Tuff - Better than Third Strike you say? Ohhh, that'll take some beating.

Okay, fuck it, I figure even if the netcode is too shitty for us to play UK to UK games, I might as well buy it so that I can have a training mode to use and then we can play on GGPO. People would be up for that, right?

I'll buy it today if Xbox Live will actually let me use my card today (was being weird when I last tried and wouldn't let me change from my old card), so we can give it a go if you're about. In fact, I'll probably grab a points card from an actual shop if it's still being funny.

Well I suppose I did give it only two games, but for those games it was truly shit. Decent sub-100 ping connections which HDR would laugh at, too.

What with me being a bit of an SNK fan and all, seeing this on the release schedule on this site there a week ago blew me away - never heard about this coming to Xbox Live back when it was apparently announced in April... anyway, got some points yesterday and downloaded this game immediately - never played it before and I've always wanted to play it.... but sadly never had the system to do so (well, apart from the Neo Geo AES, but I wasn't prepared to pay the €300 odd asking price, though I was tempted at times :))

In terms of the graphics and playability what can I say that hasn't been said before? Its incredible, and yes, in my opinion better than Street Fighter III - though I'm sure many a Capcom fanboy will disagree ;)

Yeah, I've enjoyed tooling around with this in training and story mode so far. JD works pretty nicely, and hit confirms into super are easier than I expected.

Each of the fighters feels strong with each having some excellent moves and abilities. I was playing Garou into the wee small hours this morning just strying out the various characters and their fighting styles.

Still tempted to by this on the Neo Geo AES some day.... :)

Anyone still playing this online? Got it on Saturday night and been on every night but havent found a match yet! So had to keep going back to SF4. Quite annoying they havent changed anything, as SF's option to play arcade whilst waiting for a match was excellent.

Anyone found a way to remove the pics of rock and terry from, the side of the screens?

Id love to give GGPO a go, but wont really enjoy playing on my pc unless its hooked up to my main TV, so sadly XBL is my only outlet.

gutted on all fronts then.
