Not done any firefight. Sounds like fun :)

More fun then discovering the frigging game doesn't autosave :S

Sorry Horizon - daughter's at swimming in morning, so had to run. Only noticed messages after exiting Waypoint thanks to my video settings (messages disabled).

No worries, I always have constant lag on firefight, it's a pain in the ass and I don't get it on any other multiplayer.

Some funtime firefight with Horizon and neosalad last night - really it needs 4 people when you are as amateurish as me!

Sorry Khani, with no drop-in, drop-out, we decided not to start all over again when I got your message - but if you are around in the week / next saturday, there'll be more firefight on the go no doubt.

Yeah only 2 to go and Deja and i have me 1000 :)

Well the tv was no longer my preserve after dinner so it wouldn't have mattered anyway.

Any Firefight tonight guys?

I just started playing this last night (SPC) I hopefully will be up for some Firefight over the weekend. Need to play it first and try and get a handle on it!

Horizon, if you get 2 others, and you need a fourth player, message me, and if I'm free (should be) I can do a quick 200k with you.

Sorry I was out buying cheap MW2 last night, but if you're up for a 200k tonight, I'm there.

I still haven't played my ODST (ordered a second copy after my first failed to come), stuck it on to watch the drop sequence though. Mainly bought for FF though, which looks ace. I'd be up for a game sometime! (GT - bob the runner)

Sorry for getting slightly off-topic here, but does anyone know if it's possible to start a fresh campaign on ODST without deleting/moving your savegame?

I'd like to get the Good Samaritan achievement and (maybe) try it on legendary...

Your single player and campaign games are not the same, so I think you can happily fire up a legendary campaign and leave your solo game intact.

Choose "Mombasa Streets" in Campaign Lobby, it resets it all to campaign start but keeps audio logs.

Thanks to Horizon, paperghost and Mr Cheese for ticking off another 200k last night - much appreciated.

I'll be allocating some non-MW2 time on thursday night for another one, too - probably 2200 - 2230 onwards.

Thanks sanctusmortis (and agparrot)! I tried something similar last night, upped the difficulty to Legendary and chose "Prepare to Drop". Apparently it works this way too.

Took me a while to get things going on Legendary, but so far it has not been as difficult as I feared. Still too early for final conclusion though :|

So, I did promise that I'd play some more ODST tonight - if we can get a little gang of four together for some 2230 onwards firefight, I am there. I think HoriZon still needs Last Exit plus the Deja Vu achievement, I still need Rally Point and... maybe one of the others - I don't mind either Firefight on one of my required maps or someone else's or a Deja Vu run... take your pick.

I'm really enjoying the SP game, only around act 3 I think...I have located the first audio log at any rate. Those fookin Hunters (I think they are called).
I assume I just put the ODST disc in and choose multiplayer ? if that is the case what is the Halo 3 complete multiplayer experience disc I have ?

The Halo 3 complete multiplayer experience disc pretty much does what it says - it is all of the maps and modes ever made for the online multiplayer side of Halo 3 - all the deathmatch, flag capturing, lone-wolfing.... grifballing - everything, where you play as Spartans or Elites in competitive Halo 3 stuff.

The ODST multiplayer is different, and is on the ODST disc... it is either co-operative campaign play, or the 'Firefight' mode, which is a mode where up to four players fend off waves of enemies which are enhanced by increasingly tough difficulty modifiers called 'skulls'.

It is far easier to explain firefight as you play it really. It is well worth playing the single player alone on your first playthrough, rather than going through with friends in the 'campaign' mode, because the story mode and atmosphere lend themselves more to this. Firefight is a separate and self contained mode, played in various cut-down maps from the campaign game.
