Yeah the lighting is all over the place. I think you are referring to Sebring, it looks pretty awful.

The Lighting at Laguna Seca is quite bad as well. However other than adjusting the settings of the TV to try and compensate there is not much can be done. Forza 2 had similar problems.

I hate that constant sunset that greats you on the final corner of Laguna Seca, so you can't actually see where the corner is.

I quite like Amalfi and Fujimi but I do not want to have to race them 12 bloody times in a row with little to no payment at the end of it.

Stupid rammy AI's doing my nut in now. You can't have a decent race without the opponents trying to go through you. And the old trick to make them drive very fast straight off the track still works.

This.

Went back to season play last night after playing online for the weekend and was reminded how annoyingly the AI races. Ended up having to cut corners and shunt them out of the way. It's more annoying when you're on a straight and they grind against your car to get to their, seemingly, preset racing line.

I'm still a Forza whore though.

Rubbish I tell you! :)

I think it rather depends on what car you are driving. The long Japanese course was an utter chore in my 'goes so fast it's stupid but book in advance to make a corner' SLR.

I tried doing Fujimi A this morning, free run, Subaru WRXSTI (the new one).

That car is utter, utter tosh. Methinks I need to buy one and do it up to rally spec first. That will break my current run of 2 seasons without buying a car though.

I think the main issue I have with it is that the mini map is absolutely useless as it criss-crosses all over the place. However, memorising the course requires you to remember around 5000 shitty little corners, all of which seem to be at the top of a blind hill crest.

Load of old bollocks.

Yep, currently got just over 400,000 credits in the bank. I've not spent too much on upgrades either :D

Turn the racing line on - Shouldn't lose much money for that.

Bollocks to them! I don't tend to stick to the line that much anyway but it is useful. Using the braking one if not the full one.

Aye, I may well have to use it if I'm forced to race that sodding course again.

I only realised last night, when I had to race on it, that the Circuit de la Sarthe was in this.

Which put me in a much better mood after Amalfi \o/

I ended up doing the Fujimi event in a Ford GT the other night, not fun!

I did it in a Murcielago last night. I do have more appreciation for the skills of oil tanker captains now.

Doing a few laps of the complete Fujimi track with friends is incredibly epic - my SUV was excellent at powering up the mountain, but was like steering an avalanche on the downhills. :)

I think I've bought 1 car so far (my Lambo) and I've just finished my third season :)

I've just been using the ones I've won.

To be honest, the one disappointing thing I've noticed is that there aren't actually that many cars in amongst however many hundred there supposedly are, that I actually want to buy.

Actually I think I'd prefer to tone down the colour on most of the tracks.

Me too, although the ones I want are ones I REALLY want. Like the Renault 5 and other such ancient pieces of fun.

I can't do racing line..., I prefer to learn the hard way. I know I need to to an obscene amount of races to be fairly good, but I can't use them rails.

Anyway, this game is so good it must be bad to one's health. It's epiphanic to say the least, I'm sending a handwritten letter to Turn 10 to thank them for such a marvelous work. Even my dad, a 60 yo man is having fun with those cars, he said he had, at last, a way of driving a Bugatti, or, as close as possible.

got awarded the lambo reventon last night, took it for a drive round the proving ground oval to get the 200mph achievement. Got it, and the dashboard display went a lovely purple colour, but subsequent jaunts to 200mph didn't recreate the dashboard experience.
had the same thing happen once for me at about 175 on benchmark oval never again though

This game just gets better and better. Anyone here trying to finish the career mode without using the rewind fuction in any completed race?

Heh, not quite. I have a tendency to pick woefully old and/or underpowerd cars, so I need to dig fairly deep into the bag of tricks to stay ahead of the pack.

I do try and limit rewinds to catastrophic losses of control though.
Same here only use it if i wipe out in a race retiring kind of way. I had to turn the rewind message off though as it is too tempting when it tells u every time u hit the grass or touch another car

So what's the highest anyone here is ranked for a particular race/lap time?

Mine was 10,000th. I don't think I'm within 10 seconds of the leader on any course. :(

I've recently done that one.

Quite liked it too, but I was racing in a dinky little Lotus Elan, and it's sweet around the corners.

I haven't found any of the tracks to be "rubbish" yet. They all seem to have their good and bad points.

On a random note... I'm still really annoyed that they didn't put in a decent auction house system. Would it really be so hard to let you bid a set amount rather than all that pissing around bumping up the initial bid values?
