Just grabbed this last night and knew bugger all about it. It's a bit addictive isn't it?

I love the inclusion of Ode to Joy at the end of each stage :)

Must. Play. One. More. Level.

One question... at one point during the tutorial it says something about holding L or R triggers to influence the ball or somesuch. This wnt completely over my head, could anyone explain as it seems to have no effect in regular play. Was it only on the second characters special (predictive) shots?

Question - if I create a new user account for the missus on my xbox, will my download of peggle be playable from her profile or would you need to buy it again? I only ask as she's been hammering through the adventure mode without me getting a look in!

'Fine tuning' - basically the ball launcher moves much slower so you can set your shot up better.

Yeah it works fine, I done the exact same thing for Mrs Estoo, she is addicted to it, the only 360 game she has ever really got into.

Ah ok, so I can hold either trigger and the ball spitter moves slower? Makes sense.

Cheers estoo! Mrs Murbal referred to this yesterday as 'brilliant' - this coming from someone who normally has no interest in videogames.

This is a bit good, isn't it? Ended up playing local multiplayer for a bout 2 hours with mates the other night.

All this talk of Girlfriends getting into the game is good, might try and trick the missus into developing a taste for "stupid video games".

Do it! I try to trick the gf into at least one game per system to keep her on the right side of the 'silly games' argument ;)

I think this has gf lure all over it.

Doesn't work all that well though.

A much better way is to tap left or right on the d-pad. The pointer moves 1 pixel per tap.

Awesome. I'll give that a try tonight. I can't believe this is dragging me away from playing Empire: Total War... I feel like I'm giving up on War and Peace to read OK! magazine instead. ;)

...just noticed a DS version on Play Asia... oh credit card, how I abuse thee.

It does seem ripe for it alright, like puzzle bobble before it. It shall break down the cold harsh walls of wimmins everywhere.*

If there is another thing that Puzzle Bobble thought us it's probably that we don't necessarily want our girlfriends and mothers playing game...

That's one downside, every silver lining has a cloud, I think ;)

The plus side is things like the random purchasing of gamey gifts, instead of undercrackers.
/strokes 'random gamey gift' copy of RE5
/might actually wear it

You are right there. But now as she has set up her own live profile and has found out what achievements are........I think i'm screwed. I hate peggle for this :(

LOL you will all have to do what my bf did - buy a second XBOX as a present.

And then cry as they wipe your highscores

My girlfriend and two female housemates love this game.

This, despite less game time for me, is excellent news.

Plus I beat all of them and appear to be a Peggle Master.

Which I most certainly am not.
