Really hope the Kazakis cause an upset here:) Coming from a Northern Irish man of course.Unfortunately extremely unlikely to happen.I'm going to stick my neck out and say 6-0 to England.

Rooney will score tomorrow.

Assuming he plays at least 70 minutes.

LOL, i love how most people's knowledge of one of the worlds biggest countries comes from a comedy movie. (That was filmed in Romania, i might add)... either the English education system has utterly collapsed, or schools desperately need to invest in some atlases that show some post-Soviet borders.

Out of all the Central Asian republics, Kazakhstan has probably moved forward football-wise the most. Most of their best players play in the Russian Federation, or Ukraine. For a comparison team, I would look at teams like Georgia and Azerbaijan... they certainly are no Andorra.

I'd love a Kazakh victory, as I always enjoy watching England lose to a so called 'inferior' country... however I see a comfortable 2-0 victory to England myself.

Oh, and as for the 'Why is Kazakhstan in Europe' question, check the far west borders of the country... you will find that it sticks just west of the Ural Mountains, which is usually considered the Europe/Asian border.

Israel however is in UEFA because of one simple fact. If it had to do qualifiers during the Cold War in Arab states... they would have been massacred not unlike in Munich during the olympics. Hence They were adopted by the landmass that created that country in the first place.

*takes breath*... phew! Back to the LBP beta now!

No, i'm pretty sure that most people are quite aware that Borat was a comedy rather than a documentary you gormless bastard.

The Europe/Asia border is actually in the middle of Europe then? The flag makers are going to get extremely confused.

I'm hoping for 2-2. I don't want England to go through. I enjoyed the Euros much more this year without them in it, depressing the absolute fuck out of me and draining every ounce of joy out of me that watching a tournament of that magnitude should provide.

Plus I like laughing at the ridiculous commentary when we're out:

'Looking at the quality on show, if England had got through I think they would have stood a very good chance of winning this'.

But we didn't, you retard, we lost to Croatia. So if the quality wasn't that good, how shit does that actually make us for not qualifying?

Cappelo disagrees.
theo's potential > young's.

And potential comes round with more play.

Nah, Young is and will end up being a better player than Theo.

It would be lovely to see Wright Phillips, Walcott and Agbonglahor in the team - I've given up hope of us playing attractive football but lots of pace would also be entertaining.

Totally different players though.

I don't get this 'Young should be in over Walcott'. The thing is, they should both be in the squad. Walcott is a decent right or left winger who will eventually (and hopefully) turn into a fantastic striker. Young is a very good left winger who is a danger with his long-range shooting and excellent crossing/vision.

Young should be in, but not at the expense of another one of our brightest potential talents. Take Downing out, for fecks sake.

Don't think people were arguing that Young should in over Walcott, just that he was better than Walcott. I think everyone agrees Downing shouldn't be there.

Theo pretty much saved English football with his performance in Croatia.

But walcott has the greater potential, and is younger, and has had more of in impact both internationally and domestically recently.

And will become a striker.
