Trying to avoid being taken out to some wildlife type thing by the girlfriend.
The rest of the weekend I'll be sitting around being miserable that I don't own the flat I live in so there's no point cleaning/improving/buying anything for it. (A natural impulse on bank holidays)

Got some freelance work to do also on one of the 3 days.

Nothing wrong with not owning the flat you live in but I share the frustration.

Been out with the dog this morning but she appears to have diarrhoea so maybe we won't be going for a big walk in the woods.

Barbeque and cricket all day today, family stuff tomorrow, beer festival and band Monday and old Trafford Tuesday night for football.

That plus no freelance or work all weekend for the first time in months.

    It's going to be good.

Last night I was up to three taking pictures of the whirlpool galaxy.  Today I have friends coming around for a bbq and then the test of the weekend I will be processing the galaxy images and playing ffx2.

Pretty much my ideal bank holiday.

If the weather holds, beer and a bbq, if not then it's a country gastro pub.

BBQ last night at home bit chilly
    BBQ tonight at a friends
    BBQ tomorrow at another friends.

This the curse of being a kiwi and having Saffa and Aussie mates.

Or (Devils Advocate), maybe it's actually a walking route to most people, and having to stop every 5 seconds to let another cunt on a bike go past is infinitely more annoying.

I cycle on it everyday, round about the same time, it has been very cold the last few months but I wrap up accordingly and it has been bliss being empty, a little bit of sun and out they come with their care free mind set.

Ho hum I can walk freely and let my smelly companion wander free, fuck everyone else.

I live beside a canal, cyclists are 90% absolute cunts on it. Treat it like it's a road and people shouldn't be walking on it. They just need to slow the fuck down when there are people and everyone will be happy.

Early weekend ( Thursday - Saturday). Just got home after pootling about the area around a national park a couple of hours north of Bangkok with the wife.

Really enjoyed it, though as my first experience of driving in Thailand it was a little nerve wracking. Stayed in a gorgeous boutique hotel next to a river. Ate way too much delicious food and found a few rather unique spots.

Looking forward to a lie in and a day with DS 2 tomorrow.

Cleaning the oven and cleaning the toilets and taxi-ing children. And listening to the football on the radio, Hamilton Accies being denied promotion probably :(

Oven cleaning due to my latest kitchen project, a homemade pizza steel.

Accies 2 nil up after 4 minutes! They need Dundee to lose though... Why the fuck couldn't they have done this last week?!!

Yes! My weekend starts tonight as I'm on holiday tomorrow. Having been on-call all Bank Holiday weekend, I'm going to chill out and just relax.

Got a few mates coming over tonight. Out tomorrow night locally and in Manchester city centre for a beers, curry and clubbing on Saturday.

    Sunday. Dunno.

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

Off to Leeds with my mate on the razzle dazzle. Just about to book a hotel/B&B but could not resist a quick peek at EG :)

So if anyone has any tips of a good cheap hotel plus any decent RnB focused bars and clubs that would be appreciated?
