For those of you who have mothers like mine, I bet they cook their steak the same way my mum does.

Say the steak starts off 25 cm long.

It ends up about 10cm long.

    And black.

And even a steak knife isn't getting through that bugger.

(I like mine medium btw, still good and pink in the middle, but I would never eat a steak like that in front of my mum as I couldn't listen to what she would have to say about it that would involve tales of food poisoning, all starting with "somebody said XYZ".)

Venison stew is the best kind of stew, although lamb is also groovy.

Lamb is something else I cannot stand, in any form. Lamb is alongside seafood as my absolute most hated foods.

    Now you're on 'the list'.

    No excuses for liking lamb.

The actual point is that F&M hampers are fucking extortionate.

I'm adding Veal to the list. Had it properly on holiday in Croatia this year.....I went back for seconds, it was lush!

I'll eat most things, not keen on things with little bones though.

If someone can sell 6 crackers for 900 with tat in them and make a living, then there's hope for anyone in this world.

Scallops are abso-fucking-lutely delicious. I had some with black pudding recently and it was like the Angel of Love had guffed in my mouth.

I love scallops. Not in the least bit "bogey-ish" if done right.

Especially if they're seared, so the outer flesh goes all caramelised and sticky.
