The Oprah interview is going to take place at Armstrong's home in Texas so really can't see him admitting much. No doubt it'll be hugely scripted and very light in content. Oprah's hardly known for taking a hard line approach. And there seems to be more evidence against him coming out by the day. The latest that the French lab that picked up his 2001 tour of Switzeland drug failure actually met with Armstrong and his team director Johan Bruyneel and showed them how to beat EPO tests. This has come out in the last couple of days.
I think it was a Swiss lab (Lausanne). Great timing by Tygart though, I wonder if he held it back or this was just the way it worked out.

Got a new job in the city which means that for the first time in ten years I work within cycling distance of home. Shepherds bush - barbican. I take Oxford street on the way home and the rickshaw cunts are really starting to boil my piss.

Nice one Geoff, mind how you go.

A great day today, got access to a huge cellar to store my bikes and kit. Means I can get out a lot easier. I've been living with 2 bikes in my poky attic flat for the last month.

Sorry yes, I meant the Lausanne lab.

Oxford street? The horror. Fuck that shit, there's about a million routes you can take through central London. Even merely going down Wigmore street is a better alternative. Marylebone/Euston Road is a decent road to cycle on, traffic is moving swiftly and there's bus lanes all the way along. Straight line all the way to Angel then you're basically at the Barbican.

Things that you want to happen but never will.

Lance sitting on his sofa, chatting to Oprah. Slowly the heads of Walsh and Kimmage appear from behind it, Travis Tygart wanders on from stage left, with a great big bucket of popcorn.

On the way in I come up Piccadilly. On the way back it's clerkenwell road and Oxford street. I might try wigmore but its a detour, euston road more so. I can do it in half an hour if I don't get stuck behind a bus stuck behind a rickshaw.

Fortunately I can't get enough space to get fast enough so that hitting one of them would damage me or my bike

my work has signed up to the cycle to work scheme so i have decided to buy a bike after putting it off for a while, the savings are considerable.

I have been looking at a couple of bikes, the Trek 8.5 DS and the Specialized Crosstrail Comp. Does anyone have any experience with either of these bikes, or some pointers on what i should be looking for in particular? the bike is for commuting to work along a paved cycle path and a little buggering around some countryside at the weekend.

These are the two brands that are available locally, Harpenden, so i don't have much choice outside of these... both bikes cost £850

Pointless. It's not being done live so he'll just decline to answer anything he doesn't like.

I really doubt that he's alone in his doping.

@greenthumb I'm not much of an authority on hybrid or mountain bikes but with the big name brands like Spesh and Trek, if the prices are the same then the quality will be pretty much on par because the bike market is so competitive now. You just need to get out on both of them and see which one you prefer as the only thing to split them will be a je ne sais quoi.

It's important to really think about the kind of riding you'll be doing and picking a bike to suit though, there aren't any one-bike-does-it-all answers because something needs to be compromised. For instance, the 2012 Crosstrail weighs in at 15 kilos, and that is pretty heavy if you'll spend the majority of your time on paved surfaces. My road bike weighs half that.

Has there ever been any suggestion he was?

Paddy power odds on the Armstrong interview

To accuse another pro cyclist of taking illegal drugs 1/4

Make apology to Paul Kimmage 5/1

    To confess 1/20
    To deny 16/5
Jump up and down on the sofa :) 20/1

I just watched the RUnning Man and honestly, I have no issue whatsoever with Armstrong doing steroids or whatever. WHo gives a shit really. He is pushing himself to the limit and that is what matters.

    "was sub zero....now plain zero".

They could all do drugs as far as I'm concerned... but ruining people's lives is another story.

My little Agu rackpack has given up the ghost after 7 years of faithful service. It was a great little bag but the zips eventually gave in.

So I took delivery of this Raleigh set, an absolute steal for that much bike bag these days. They'll live on the bike and I can just use low tech carrier bags for shuffling my clothes etc to & fro. The top section's even big enough for my padded laptop bag :-D

Not so familiar with their exact shape. But I'd class them as "not all that attractive". So it fitted the picture posted. :-)

Frankly, if you found my medical stocking covered legs attractive I'd be quite concerned.

Now go back to looking at your cleaner's legs from under your sofa.

I Was Deluded to Believe Lance Armstrong When He Denied Doping

Buzz Bissinger says he relied on a manipulative liar who insisted he didnít win his cycling championships through doping. A Pulitzer Prize winnerís mea culpa.
    http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/01/14/buzz-bissinger-i-was-deluded-to-believe-lance-armstrong-when-he-denied-doping.html

So donít waste it by watching him Thursday. Donít continue to feed his insufferable ego. Donít give him the satisfaction.

Let him be what he has become:

    Unimportant and worthless.
