    Starring Eliza Dushku too!

    Sounds good.

Shame it has to be Fox though. They seem to be the best in the business at commissioning all the best shows. Then somebody else goes and cancels them all.

I hope it is remotely as amazingly good as Whedon's other shows.

    Ah, excellent news.

Never really liked Eliza Dusku, though that might just have been her Faith character I didn't like..

    Guess we'll see.

    Get bent.

Awesome. Something to look forward to.

Now can the Yanks make sure and watch it so it doesn't get cancelled!

Mmm... I actually found Faith to be a great character. Psychotic and sexy but vulnerable and bendable as well. I found her far more interesting them the majority of the straight-laced cast as Faith could be good one moment and deranged the next. Can't ask for a better character than that really. Only second to Psycho Willow, a cautionary tale that absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Or maybe I look into these things too much. Eliza back on TV? Hell yes! The concept sounds remarkably decent too. Whodathunkit?

    Hope it's good stuff.

However it turns out, it has to be better than Tru Calling...

The biggest problem Tru Calling had was painting itself into a corner and not being able to break from the very stiff mould it had made for itself. Heck, even Buffy was flexible in most regards to storytelling - remember the frankly ludicrous but hugely entertaining musical episode? Buffy could go from drama to comedy to making serous points and yes, even burst into that musical part because the concept was dynamic enough to let them do it! Tru Calling had a hook - and unfortunately, there were only so many times you could use that hook before it got very, very fucking old. And then they tried to put in that plot twist, and ended up killing the whole damned thing. Which says a lot about how shows should be written.

This Dollhouse seems flexible enough to be quite decent. Changing the personality/identity of the lead role could lead to hugely interesting plot development. Or it could fall on its face, but I'm optimistic tonight.

    You've got me there...

By the way, I loved Tru Calling, season 2 was really going somewhere before it was cancelled in my opinion.

As long as Fox doesn't cancel shuffle it around for no damn reason I'm sure it will do good.

As for continuing Firefly, apparently Universal wants more movies based off the universe, so hopefully Whedon will explain the blue gloved dudes.

Mr Dirtbox you are mistaken sir

WHAT HOW and WHEN does she look like a rodent. Out of her and Roland I know who I would rather. She is hot, way better than SMG in Buffy. For some reason when I read the Thread headline I thought "who the feck wants to see Joss Stone on tv" can't stand how humble she is. "Got a right to be wrong indeed, you mean got a right to feck off forever"

"Duffman the grey is thrusting in the direction of the problem! Oh, yeah!"

Sounds like a update for `joe 90` but with good looking women in...

This fact alone gets my vote.

    Care to link that?

I've never watched Tru Calling. Maybe I will at some point, but there are plenty of other TV series higher on my "to watch" list.

    Indeedy.

I'm really excited about this, but I'm trying to restrain myself because you just know that Fox will fuck it around and cancel it. They always do.

Makes you wonder quite why they seem to work so hard to commission such great shows only not to bother building up an audience for them.

I think it sounds like an excellent concept, and will give them free reign to do all sorts of things.

One of the best things about Buffy and Angel was the incredible scope that their concept gave them.

Firefly slightly less so, but still had a pretty big scope.
