I don't know, it's hard to put my finger on. I definitely feel offended though somehow.

Go and see Iron Man 3 :-)

I neither look like Claudia or anyone called Ross. A bit of a cross between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jabba the Hut.

Actually a lot like my pic on here. I get very happy when holding a pint of Erdinger.

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

Not sure why people are dissing fast and the furious. The fifth film was a stonking piece of entertainment. Admittedly 3 and 4 were kinda shit.

Sixth looks just as entertaining. It's a good season for blockbusters.

Tokyo Drift was hugely underrated and actually a decent film. The first one was a guilty pleasure with great car chases. The others were a waste of time though imo.

    Iron man 3 in 3d
    9/10

End credits going up now and have to say much better film than IM2

Loved the film, some little nods to sci fi films throughout. Just waiting for the after credits extra scene now

Enjoyed some parts of the 3d, first time at a Cineworld cinema
and didn't get the usual image problems I usually get with 3d films

Off topic trailers for new monsters inc film and Epic both trailers look great in 3d. Epic does have an Avatar style feel to it.

I liked the one where it looked like they were going to get caught but then they went fast and got away - I forget which one that was.

I saw most of the first F&F. It wasn't my "scene". The Supra was cool, though.

As someone who has been forced to repeatedly watch all of them thanks to my eldest being obsessed with them here's my 2p:

    First one: Pretty poor.
    Second One: Offensively bad
Third One: First vaguely watchable one.
Fourth & Fifth Ones: Best of the lot.

They all have a pretty questionable attitude to women and the 3rd one is the only one that even comes close to representing the car culture they purport to exist in.

I really can't stress enough how much you should never watch 2 Fast 2 Furious though. Each minute that passes cost you an IQ point.

    Brap, brap, old chap.

Where has Stonking come from? Why is it in my mind? I've been saying it a lot recently, and folk be looking at me like I'm a right cunt.
Surely overuse of the word Epic is considerably worse.
Annny way, saw Oblivion last night. Thought it was pretty good, there was bit of a slow section in the middle, but other than that it was an enjoyable bit o' Sci-Fi.
Plus points for the soundtrack, effects and well choreographed action sequences. Points off for not being particularly original. 7/10

Spring Breakers. 8 out of 10

7 of those points are for James Franco. The other one is for boobs.

You're reading too much into it. I said it was a big hitter. As in it's a studio tentpole film which is expected to do major BO. Not that excited about seeing it. I did enjoy the last one a lot though. It was big, dumb, stupid fun and didn't expect it to be anywhere near as good as it turned out to be.

Going to try and see Place Beyond The Pines this weekend. Just not got around to it yet.

    The Usual Suspects (1995) 9/10

Watched this years ago, and thought it was great. Last week I assumed I owned the Dvd, but as it turns out, I didn’t. Over the weekend, I hunted out a copy for £2, two disc special edition no less. The film has aged surprisingly well. Kevin Spacey is his usual excellent self. Totally recommended

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy was great in a bland sort of way. If that makes any sense.

    The Driver - 9/10

I think it was mentioned on here a little while back as a recommendation for quality car chases. Whoever named it wasn't wrong. Liberal use of a bumper cam and little to no soundtrack except for thumping V8s will always get my thumbs up.

It was also fun to watch a film where everyone is a bastard and doesn't pretend to be anything else.
