All right, stop the trolling you idiots. :)

And Once Upon A Time in The West is one of the few films over which I cannot find a single fault or thing I dislike. Seriously, nothing. It's damn near perfect as a film.

@craigy Do you swoon every time you think about RyGos or is it just me?

@khaz Definitely agree with you there. I have goosebumps now just thinking about it. The soundtrack really pushes it into one of my favourite films of all time.

I like the bit where the woman with unfeasibly large knockers gets thrown around on the back seat of the Mustang.

For once the mother-in-law is doing some babysitting so I'm off to see it on Friday. Cannot wait to be honest, and I love the original. I just have a good feeling about this.

I don't understand being a big Evil Dead fan, I mean the original was good fun, but not as much of a game-changer as some people make out (then again it is a cult film, and fans always get overzealous I suppose).

I really enjoyed the new film, was very good fun, lots of gore, and a pretty good horror film (by modern standards that is).

I remember seeing The Evil Dead on VHS when I was in school. Fucking scared the shit out of me. I think at the time it was a real game changer. Lots of controversy over a particular scene.

I can't wait to see the new one. Won't be able to mange it tomorrow but I'll be there Friday morning.

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

I forget just how much a scene like that was as controversial as it was upon release.

    How times have changed.

    The Hunger Games - 8/10

Very pleasantly surprised by this, it was described to me as Battle Royale for teenagers... Which is an accurate description in a way but there is a lot more story built around the premise. Surprisingly brutal as well and Jennifer Lawrence is a great little actress. The film is really well paced and zips through without going ott on the exposition. Not really interested in the books, but interested to see where the story goes in the next film.

Which was the controversial scene? Been years since I've seen it.

That would be the one. Just got Evil Dead 2 on Blu-Ray through the door from Amazon. I've not seen that since it first came out. Will be watching it later methinks.

You can't win with some people, plus I assume it's a scene that's made it into the remake in some way shape or form... I bet there will be some crazy people out there who see the remake before seeing the original. Couldn't have them getting all pissy could we?

    Never hurts if in doubt.

I still think that scene would raise a few eyebrows today fwiw. It's edgy for a number of reasons.

I guess it might merit spoiler tags in case there's something similar in the remake.

LB, you really are a massive geek.

I would think a major plot point in any film, no matter its age, should be spoilered. Unless this thread is specifically and uniquely for those who have seen every film ever made.

I completely agree. Sixth sense should be off limits now however. Did you all know Bruce is a zombie

Don't get some of the hate towards the evil Dead remake.

I watched Evil Dead 2 on film four other other night, not seen it in years and its aged badly. Outside of its cult status its a bit of a goofy relic, hammy and not scary. Obviously back in the 80s it made me shit as brick on vhs as a kid.

A film that built av reputation as being a video nasty, but when you actually got to watch it, it wasn't worthy of that tag.

Evil Dead 2 is supposed to be funny.

It is exactly as hammy and goofy as was intended at the time.

    Brap, brap, old chap.

That talk of unwarranted erections reminds me I watched The Experiment the other night on Netflix (UK). The aforementioned trouser bulge belonging to Forest Whittaker occurring not how you might expect. Odd film with some interesting ideas but fizzles out too soon in my mind.

    5/10

Give yourself £5 or ½ gig, you're worth it.

    And quite right too.

Just because films are old doesn't mean everyone's seen them!

Case in point : I watched Top Gun for the first time in my life last year although to be honest spoilers might have improved it as I thought it was pants.

Second case in point : I have never seen Ben Hur - gonna watch it this weekend.

Everybody should just calm down a little bit and have a nice cup of tea.

This could ruin the movie Ben Hur.
    Fair warning and all...

As for Ben Hur, I haven't seen it myself but in one of the chariot races, someone is wearing a modern watch on his wrist.
