Which version ? :D Moaning for the sake of moaning yet again.

It's hardly a surprise, the split between theatrical/DC fans. Christ, discussion really is overrated.

As to the mooted suggestions: Reinforcements ? Like the Space Jockey's unexplained chestburster ? Probably the queen given canon evolution. But were the eggs there already, or did she lay them ? Was it dead, hence a new queen or hibernating ? Transporting live xenos ? Eggs are a safe-guarded version, why risk it ? As to how the colony succumbed, it's not as if they sent colonists back to the ship, collecting more samples for examination, or infection. Newt's Dad one was probably pissing itself after they'd done all the legwork. :D

Unbased possibilities can be pulled out of anyone's arse. Tying them in to what you know is a better start.

I'm pretty sure we don't need to spoiler tag Aliens.

I think I might have to now.
    You must.

And for what it's worth, the idea that the ship is carrying both eggs -and- xenomorphs comes from Ridley Scott, who initially conceptualised the Space Jockey ships as bombers/troop carriers, the idea being that they'd bomb a planet with eggs to create a hive then pick up the newly created xenomorphs and use them as warriors elsewhere. Two birds with one stone. Or egg. So not quite pulled out of one's arse.

But in fairness he then fucked that idea in the arse with Prometheus. But we shan't talk about that.

Considering this started from kinky_mong wanting thoughts on which versions to watch, I've no idea whether he's seen them or not ? Spoiler tags safer than spoilers.

    Seven Psychopaths - 7/10

Disappointing. Not as clever a meta movie as Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, not as funny as In Bruges and just felt hollow. Acting was real good though and it was fairly enjoyable.

    Bourne Legacy

    2/10

Only giving it two because the lead characters put in good performances

Seven psychopaths was wicked! Really enjoyed it can't think of much else to say.

If you liked In Bruges you'll like this, no surprise there.

I think it's always gonna be hard to rate a film immediately after seeing it for the first time, only time tells what sticks in your mind and what you want to watch again and again.

The Dark Knight Rises, the missus hadn't seen it so when i picked it up on DVD we gave it a watch. 9/10 only thing that was a let down was Bane's death, and perhaps some scenes could have been shortened.

    About Aliens..

I still think the numbers make sense without thinking of the derelict containing full grown aliens...Newt's dad simply got a queen inside him and that's what set it all off...
Also it was only 1000 rounds of ammo...Like I said, that would not eliminate them all...
