Sure i've seen it in the past, well bits of it on TV but never the whole thing. Spotted the DVD for only £1.00. Very funny, possibly Jim Carrey's best film, sure The Trueman Show and Man On The Moon are good also.
I'd say The Cable Guy is his best IMO.

    There's Something About Mary

I remember this being a mega hit when I was in sixth form college and everyone raving about it. I never saw it til years later when I quite enjoyed it. I caught the second half of it again the other night. It was total shit.

I can only conclude that either, A.) All the best bits are in the first half. B.) The second half is shit without the first half. C.) These kinds of films ('Gross out comedies') have moved on so much in the last 10 or 15 years that everything before hand is now tame, useless and redundant. Or D.) It was never actually any good.

    4/10

The bloke should win one for speaking legibly!

Seriously. If a film was as far from the magic of Rocky...

 it's a special trick! Learned at the pub.

I need to learn not to post after a win and a few pints!

    It's still pap though!

@Lukus It is very clever in the way the film unfolds, like a snowball effect. One event leading into another.

Yeah I would call it a 'B'. I also hate wandering into those types of films randomly.

Yeah, it's a work of art that is ruined if you don't understand the full context of the situations these characters have got themselves in. Her putting semen in her hair might be slightly amusing on its own, however, if you combine that with someone getting kicked in the nuts 30 minutes earlier then it becomes something more.

    Something...beautiful.

Cable guy is the film where Jim Carrey went shit and never got good again.

If you ignore Man on the Moon, The Truman Show and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind then you're correct.

    @monkehhh

There are two trailers for this. One that gives everything away and one that ain't so bad. Still thought it was amazing.

Currently watching The Evil Dead. I can't wait for the remake. Probably my most anticipated film of 2013. Seriously. Well, perhaps second after Pacific Rim.

The Resident Evil films. I'm one of the reasons they keep making them.

    The Campaign
    74%

Had hoped that Ferrell would be back to his best with this but the rest of the cast steal it.
    Dog shaving a laugh highlight.

    Batman & Robin

Shit. Ice to see you. Uma Thurmans entrance to the auction gains 10%

@beastmaster Oh yeah it looks great, I just tend to sort-of avoid trailers where I can.. I wanna be teased and not shown the whole thing. Anyone who made Kill List gets the benefit of the doubt for their next few films from me :)

But he was trying to do real acting in those, any hollywood actor coulda played those roles and the films woulda still been as good.

Only he could of been the pet detective or the mask etc......The Jim Carrey schtick got tired, shit and boring during then after cable guy.

    That's what I meant.

I'm not sure I agree that any hollywood actor could've played all those roles just as well, especially Man on the Moon, but that's ok. His schtick did get tired by then.

    The Dark Knight Rises Blu
Sticking with my 8/10 for the film.
When I saw it at the IMAX I said the sound mix was off to me. The bass was too powerful and a lot of speech was drowned out; unfortunately this has been carried over :-(
Also I'm sure you saw a bone sticking out of someone at a certain point but unless I blinked and missed it that wasn't here...

    You dare to strike Scurrcules!?

    Margin Call

Absolutely outstanding. A riveting look at how the world wide banking crisis possibly went down. Great cast performing a well written script.
