    Hi everyone,

So does anyone know where are the best deals to get a PS3 at the moment?

It seems to me that all the shops are ignoring the "60gb + 2 games" bundle and are either selling it without the games for 350 (HMV) or without the games but with an extra controller (Shopto), again at the same price.

That said, everyone seems to be pushing the 40gb....

    Anyone know why?

    Cheers,

    errol

Are you sure? Why would that be - they're already advertising the 40gb PS3 and that's due out on the same day...

As I've said, retailers such as HMV are now advertising the 60Gb at 350 but without the games -

    http://www.hmv.co.uk/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=2508;6;82;-1&sku=722393&DCSext.mag=HC_A_PS3_GUARANTEED-PBODY-PS3_PRICEDROP_LIST-PlayStation+3+Console+-+with+60GB+Hard+Drive-722393

Why - are we getting even more screwed?

    That's a joke - why would anyone even bother buying a 60gig PS3since friday?

Because not everyone spends their time on gaming news sites. ;)

    Folklore would be good.

I've got over 130 in credit notes for Gamestation so would prefer to buy from there but if the Blockbusters deal includes an HDMI cable, then I might get it from there and keep the credit notes for when Microsoft release a 65nm XBOX360.

Actually, I was in Blockbuster yesterday and even though they had the 60Gb model at the 'old' 424 price it came with:

    an extra controller
    a HDMI cable
    2 games from a selction
    2 blu-ray movies from a selection
5 free movie / game rentals
and (something) % of your next purchase

Pretty good, all in, even at that price. Hopefully it'll be all that but less in a few days time....

    Anyone know of anywhere else?

    HMV offers

So if you don't want Heavenly Sword then it's tough luck (but you do get a free Blu Ray film)!

I wonder if this is Sony's "official" bundle proposition (they did say "two first party games") or just what HMV threw together...?

Nice. If they do that in-store I think that's where I'll pick mine up from in the morning.

I guess they had a lot of unsold Heavenly Swords left over. ^_^

That's because British people hate New Zealanders according to Shane Bettenhausen.

Woolworths are advertising 2 games from a choice of 6 for the 60GB model. The games shown inc Fifa, Tiger Woods 08 and Dirt but it doesn't say these are the choice of games.

Apparantly, Blockbuster will be inc Fifa 08 with the 40GB model at 299
