Dont know whether its true or not, but I heard that they are not just splitting the series in half like they do for the retarded 'sweeps', but actually having almost a year gap between parts.

Yeah it's true, I think Ron Moore announced it at some big event, ComicCon or something. Hope they don't stick with it though, a year gap could kill it.

That was SciFi's provisional plan, which was roundly condemned by everyone.

Ironically though, if the writers' strike does go ahead, any delay in transmission of the last ten eps could really help the season's second half...

Start date for the season has been pushed back to April '08 so maybe they won't split it after all. It's Sci-fi, not the BSG team anyway.

Yeah they cancelled BSG, now they realise that they're royally fucked as they don't actually have any decent shows and once it's gone, they could well be too.
In the states they show WRESTLING every night on that channel!

    You dare to strike Scurrcules!?

Spin up the MEH drives. I thought Razor was a bit pants. An ok miniarc from a year and a half ago. If they had just shown it in sequence with season 2 it would have been grand but watching it now just seemed pointless.

I was hoping it would mainly be based around when the Cylons had attacked.

    Hmmm

It was OK, suffers from being a TV show so they can't afford to show us anything interesting:

"By the gods this is going to be the bloodiest battle ever"
    ...fade to black...
"By the gods that was the bloodiest battle ever!"

Also most of what happens was referenced in S2, so it didn't really give us much new.

    Still CG 1980s cylons FTW!

Apparently the last 4 episodes were disrupted by the writers strike and may never be filmed.

Which will destroy whatever faith I had in god.

So the network is happy to air the entire final series of the show, but not the final four episodes? That seems a trifle self-defeating.

Are we sure about this? Leaving out the conclusion to a storyline spanning an entire 4 season show seems completely absurd!

I heard a horrid rumor they are thinking of splitting the final season up to spread over the next year!

    Quote from TV.com

Currently, the Sci-Fi Channel has announced only a release date; the looming question of whether or not the show will split its 20-episode final season into two parts--and whether or not that second part would air in 2008--is still up in the air.

If Terminator's really exist in the future, I plan to reprogram one to send back to kill all the dumb ass TV Exec's that cancelled or pissed over all my favorite shows.

They were thinking about splitting it even before the strike, it now almost certain they will.

I'll be happy if it's 10 episodes now and another 10 episodes later in the year.

If they're going to drag it out until next spring, I'll be seriously pissed.

Bloody Writers, moaning about nothing, I say shoot a few of them (the ones off seinfeld or america's next top model or some other crap that no-one would miss).

That should bring them into line.
