I do like the idea of making the Clio sound like a 1960's alpine though...

Its by no means an essential feature, but its a fun thing to have. If it was an optional extra, I wouldnt spec it by any means.

Anyway.... yeah, it was a good feature. I *really* want one of those fiestas.

The Fiesta looks really fun. Glad Peugeot still have some good hatchbacks in 'em too.

I wouldnt say no to the Pug either. The flappy paddle on the clio is a worry, though but im sure there will be a cup version with a manual shift out before the end of the year.

It's only a matter of time before someone releases a "Sounds Pack" DLC for it.

    1) Bugatti Veyron
    2) Homer Simpson making "Brum Brum" noises
    3) A Grifter with the mudflap tucked underneath.
    4) Milk float.
    5) Spaceship
    6) Trabant
    7) Farting
    8) Sexy breathing (female)
    9) Sexy Breathing (male)
    10) Model T Ford

I personally would enjoy it if cars made ever increasing orgasmic moans the faster they went, with the climax when you max it out.

Maybe the sound from a 16bit racing game?
Hell I'd buy any car that blares magical sound shower from the exhaust.

Didn't like the race last night. The whole 'comedy crashing' the car, filling out the waivers, taking the car in to be changed because he'd had loads of accidents in it...then at the end still rushing around pretending that he's really desperate to beat James to the flag.

I didn't think the crashes were well done, but regardless of that, why pretend it's a race when it isn't? You might as well just keep hamming it up rather than suddenly pretending it matters (and if you're going to mention a time you set off in the morning, better make sure it matches the time on your watch that's clearly in shot).

The thing is, as someone that's driven around the wholeo of NZ and experienced their roads, it could have made for the best ever challenge for me. And the prettiest.

The Fiesta looks rather nice. Hated the look of the Clio. And yeah, that engine noise thing, bleh.

The race, along with a lot of the other features that make up the show are pure sitcom. Or rather, they're the sit that the com, er, sits in. The actual meat of the show is the comedy characters that are Clarkson, the Hamster and Captain Slow.

Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!

This show is very tired now. In truth it's been going on for 2-3 seasons too many.

Somebody needs to pull the plug.

I still enjoy it. Worth it for the car reviews alone, they're usually still excellent even if everything else in the show is rubbish.

You say this each series don't you? And yet I think it's one of the best shows on TV (even with last Sunday's show, which I admit last episode wasn't the best). Maybe you just outgrew it?

Aye, certainly not particularly reasonably priced.

The CapostropheEED was pretty much the same price. Its 'star in a reasonably priced car' not 'car in a cheap piece of shit'.

How boring would it be if they were stuck in a 1l daewoo matiz?

I dunno, they appear to have quite a high centre of gravity. It would be fun waiting for someone to finally roll the car

I dont think they would be able to go fast enough for that to happen unless they put landmines on the corners.

I reckon you could if you caught the wheels on the last corner. If Tom Cruise had been in a Matiz then I'm convinced it would have gone over.

didn't realise there was a new series till the second episode of the season just been advertised just now. I player it is then!
  • Deleted user 11 July 2013 00:40:40
Apparently they're in Idaho for a week, filming a special.
  • Deleted user 11 July 2013 07:01:01
I've said it before and I'll say it again. To all those who say it's been rubbish for years now, and complain over and over, CHANGE THE CHANNEL! Why oh why would you watch something that clearly turns you into Victor fecking Meldrew?!
  • Deleted user 11 July 2013 07:01:49
Oh, and I still love it of course. Sunday nights seem complete now that it's back!

Good ep. Three fab cars. Scary if that's even part way representative of what Spain's like at the moment, though.
