No, not interested. I did on 3 on odst but re doing sections multiple times no longer has any appeal. Heroic for me. Done 4 on legendary co op.
  • Deleted user 2 February 2013 11:09:04
Oh and I don't want to play Spartan ops and manage it. I want to be bad ass.

I don't want to have a gold elite kick my butt with his infinite ammo fuel rod gun.

In legendary your tactics are dull, you need weapons like dmr and play cautious. I want to go in with various weapons and take the fight close quarters and assassinate that bastard top rank knight.

Fun tactics don't work on legendary, you just die over and over again. If anyone wants to say ' your just not good enough ' I call bullshit, you and me 1v1 and I will pull your pants down.
  • Deleted user 2 February 2013 11:23:47
Sorry but you're talking bullshit. Legendary is fine, you need to realise that people possess a skill above yours.
  • Deleted user 2 February 2013 11:25:54
Have a 1v1 with Red, Yoss, Jambi, Shiny and win, then I'll take your absolutes a bit more seriously.
  • Deleted user 2 February 2013 11:31:14
Legendary is fine, I can complete it fine. If you read what I said.

On legendary if you go toe to toe with the battlemaster? Knight with a standard weapon like dmr you will die, the full clip won't down it and before you have been able to reload you are dead.

So, like I said you have to play cautiously on legendary. Which, like I said, I not as much fun for me than heroic where I can play more aggressive.
  • Deleted user 2 February 2013 11:41:28
Suppressor, plasma pistol, boltshot. All standard weapons, all very effective against Knights. Rifles aren't designed for shielded enemies. You just end up rinsing through ammo.

Plasma pistol still removes shields in one.

The last chapter of the first new episode was nuts on Legendary, and was hard. But at the same time, I found it fun, struggling against tough bad guys. That wasn't Legendary at its finest, by any means, but it was fun in a way.
  • Deleted user 2 February 2013 11:52:02
Yeah plasma pistol removes the difficulty problem, I have that as a load out always but you don't always have it.

Suppressor is great too but again on legendary it isn't funny to get close. Same for boltshot.

Like if you go in with scattershot vs knight with scattershot they take twice the shots to down that it takes them to kill you.

I really enjoyed legendary co op 2 player on the campaign but having legendary as standard on matchmaking is nuts.

I need some people to give me a hand completing episode 2 on legendary. It's the only one I missed on the replays, and I want to get the waypoint unlock!

Hopefully when the TU update drops the warthog will be buffed its ridiculously weak against plasma grenades.

The new (eighth) episode is really rather quite good ... a sweepingly vast improve on the first five episodes.

The only level that reuses the same environments is the last chapter, but it kind of made sense to finish the episode on that particular area.

The story though ... I am totally lost now; is there even a cohesive plot?

The plots are easy! Halo 1 - Stop the big weapon killing everyone. Halo 2 - Stop the invasion THEN stop another super weapon killing everyone. Halo 3 - Stop the other super weapons killing everyone. Halo Reach - Make sure the info about the big weapon in Halo 1 gets to Master Chief. Halo 4 - Don't worry about those old super weapons! There's a new one. Stop it! And the guy who is trying to use it.

I'm vastly simplifying things a bit there.

I believe he does. The spartan ops story tends to jump all over the place. I'll get to try episode 8 tonight. Big improvement over the first 5 episodes

Ah. My bad :) Then it's find out if the McGuffin they have is a weapon, then stop them regardless! Probably. Also there's the subplot where you have to Crimson their Crimson, obviously.

Episode 8 was a lot of fun. Mission with the warthogs and wraiths was a highlight.

Just played some Spartan Ops and multiplayer for the first time since Christmas. Damn it's good. I'm slowly nearing level 50. What specialisations do people recommend? Do they really make that much of a difference?
  • Deleted user 8 February 2013 22:04:57
I'm near 50 too. Mp any good still? Not touched since pre xmas.

    @Pepsipop

It seems to be. I was playing on the infinity slayer and crimson DLC playlists and found games in about 10-15 seconds. I had some fun games and didn't encounter any glitching/exploits or lag. They're also releasing some smaller maps at the end of the month so it should be getting even better.

Also Haven wasn't chosen all the time. It seems the community might have finally gotten bored of the same map over and over again!

The mp has always been good fun. Map rotation works much better and 343 added griffball:-)

343 unlocked more specialisations at level 50. Most people tend to favour wetwork first although it depends on what your game style is

Because Halo 4 sucks so much I haven't played it in however many months and would probably be fodder for chris at this point.

Entitled to your opinion and all but I don't think it sucks.

I'm done with this game, the only time I play this game is when I think "I'll give it one more chance"

I've come to the conclusion, why move on when you're moving onto way worse games. Staying put on Halo 3. Halo 4 doesn't even come close, neither does Reach. Really hope they go back to proper Halo in Halo 5.

    Cos Yoss has a brain.

I'm not sure why people can't just get a grip.

Except when it comes to Dead Space, that's shit.

Well I've just gotten back into the mp after not touching if for a while. I had stopped playing due to consistently being in put in games with horribly miss-matched teams. It wasn't much fun.

But since coming back its been better. More fun, less frustration. To be honest I've found the mp in every game I've played to be a mixed bag, so I find it hard to judge it. Thats just the way multiplayer seems to be in my experience. But I'm having fun at the moment :-)

I've just hit level 50, does one of the specialisations stop you flinching when scoped in?

Yes, Rogue. You have to reach level 10 with it to unlock the perk though.

Edit: Oh, I'm not sure if it completely eliminates it but it decreases it at least.
