I sincerely doubt Kalel has any worries over his reading/writing comprehension.

Ok, quick question. Is the Didact currently a Promethean or a Forerunner? Didnt he die but before said death, transfer his consciousness into some Forerunner called 'Bornstellar Makes Eternal Lasting'(nice name)? Whats the difference between Promethean's and Forerunners? I know the Prome Knights are AI warriors that can be made from Human's using the composer but are the actual Prometheans a sub-race or something?

EDIT: Oh it seems like they're basically the Marines of the Forerunners but are mutated to be stronger and bigger than Forerunner Builders...or summat.

They all go 'pop' when you headshot them.
• Deleted user 19 November 2012 10:37:03
Finished jungle level last night on Legendary. The Knights are fucking cheating bastards.

I quite liked them on Heroic, but the greater difficulty definitely exposes their mediocre design. Cheap as chips.

Does Halo 4 come in 5 different flavours? Cos the way people talk about it at times I feel like I was playing a totally different game.
I thought he was the last Forerunner and creator of the Prometheans(who are composed humans) left in stasis inside the cryptum that enabled him somehow to survive the halo event into this cycle.
Wasn't Didact some military general who fought humans the first time around but was just an evil bastard who wanted to digitize all humans and make a promethean army to defeat the flood so the other forerunners locked him up to save the human race.

I think he was a General yeah hence my edit, and Prometheans are the Forerunner Military. Dont think he was totally evil though. Wasn't he in love with the Librarian?

Did anyone else die a million times flying the long arrow towards the end? I have no idea what it was but I couldn't control the bitch. I kept crashing into walls!

I is well fhick.

It took me a while to realise how important the boost was to certain points of that section, so yeah. That bit didn't really work for me. I get that it was a nod to the end of the very first game, but still, that was kinda shit as well.

They were married. I don't think he was evil, he saw Humans as a massive blight and a threat to his people even though it had been pointed out to him that they were acting as caretakers by eradicating the flood.

At worst he was really fucking ignorant.

Yeah, didn't sit well with me. Had to invert the controls which helped a little. Just really hard to judge, camera maybe. Fearing Lengendary playthrough.

What button do you press to break their neck after sneaking up on someone?
Also what button do you press to pull someone out of the mech?

Thanks in advance
• Deleted user 19 November 2012 11:16:20
You guys using cannon/missile combo to destroy the turrets? Keep your shields up and the ship will bounce safely off a lot of accidental collisions. And use thrusters in busy areas - it's pretty easy to skip turret-heavy sections that way. I did the last mission on Legendary before all of the others and it doesn't really get all that difficult until right near the end of the game.

So far, the third and fourth missions have been the most arsey for me.

Break neck - RB.

Pull someone out of mech - you can't do. Thanks Red Sparrows.

It was more the places where the path opened and closed that fucked me up.
• Deleted user 19 November 2012 11:26:46
Yeah, there was one big closing door which caught me out about four times, until I twigged that thrusters were needed by design. Once I figured that out I blitzed it Using the lower decks helped too, especially with that bit.

You can't hijack a mech: only destroy it.

Not sure why.

You do have to hold RB down though to do an assassination kill.

Is there anywhere in the actual game that tells you how long it's taken you to complete the campaign?

Waypoint still has me down as 5 hours but it also doesn't think I've done one of the missions and only has me down as completing 5 missions. Buggy mess.

Come and get it cumslingers!

The campaign tab on service record shows total campaign play time.

:) The first thing I do with any game now is press ALL buttons on the pad, just to see what does what. I also miss the manuals :(

"Duffman the grey is thrusting in the direction of the problem! Oh, yeah!"

Ah, I used to love manuals. Most of my friends in the 16-bit era would never read them and just put the game straight on but reading the manual on the bus home was one of the joys of my youth.

This is why every game now has to have a 'tutorial' first level with on-screen prompts.
