You getting a PS4 dude? I know we generally share similar opinions, and I'm holding off probably for at least twelve months. Plus, I've got to start saving for it! I guess a cheeky £30 a month should cover it when the time comes.

No, I'm not getting one on launch. There's still a lot of games I want to buy/play on the PS3 (only just got around to buying Tomb Raider this week), and there's some games coming out next year I'm interested in too.

I'm thinking of buying a 2/3DS early next year as well, so I haven't even thought about saving up for a PS4 yet. I think the earliest I'll consider getting one is in a years time, but I think I'll probably hold off until some time in 2015.

So with Rainbow Moon discounted, and the Vita version apparently getting 50% discount for those who own the PS3 one, I'm tempted to snap this up....

So I've gone to sign into PSN and it's not recognising my password. Does it sound like I've been hacked?

@Jmek According to someone in another thread, santashi i think, Sony have randomly reset a lot of people's passwords for a security measure. I'm not sure how to set it up again yourself, or check, sorry.

@Jmek You just have to go to 'I forgot my password', even though you haven't, and reset it. You can just use your old one again.

    Bit silly really...

    PSN ID: finn1
    3DS: 3497-0005-6756

Well panic over it's not an isolated incident. Apparently a fair few UK based gamers are suffering the same issue. Apparently it's Sony checking up on "irregular activity".

Fucking Sony. Only browser available to me is the Vita and PS3. Reset page linked to above "isn't compatible" with the browser Sony uses.

So I'm locked out. Fucking great job.

@SomaticSense this link work for you?

    http://faq.en.playstation.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5602/

If not, I can paste the instructions. They have different ones dependent on browser/device.

Give yourself £5 or ½ gig, you're worth it.

@mrpon Thank you, thank you, thank you! All sorted :)

Still angry at Sony though. Resetting passwords because of a potenial security fail is perfectly fine. In fact, I'm pleased they did it in light of the hacking scandal a couple of years ago. It's nice to see they are edgy. It gives me more confidence.

What isn't fine though, is resetting passwords without sending an automatic email, or a PSN message beforehand warning them it's going to happen. Instead doing it silently and relying on those users frequenting specific gaming news sites to even know why the hell they can't access their own PSN accounts.

Get it, it's a great game and there's a ton of content. Closest comparison I can think of is Fallout 3, but with zombies and (IMO) a far more interesting environment. Plus, I could use someone to play coop with :)

Gets old quick though, I found. Had to force myself to play after a while.

I bought Dead Island when it was on sale for just over £5 (£4.55 with PS discount) on PSN only a few weeks ago - personally I wouldn't buy it for it's current sale price knowing it's already been cheaper very recently.

That seems to be the case with most of the items in the current sale actually - they've almost all been made available for much less in previous PSN sales.

You sure it was the GotY edition?

    You disagree?

Anyone playing Dead Island tonight? I'll try and be on it probably from 11pm for an hour or so. Unless Spelunky on the Vita wins out.

No offense, but it's nothing like Fallout 3 beyond the fact that strangers give you quests. I would say that it plays like an open-world Condemned 2 with an RPG gaming system dealing with XP and quests etc.

Not a bad game, but the multiplayer rarely works on the PS3 so be prepared to play it solo only.

It's a great game. But the closest comparison you can think of is Fallout 3? DI is open-world I guess, and is.....

Nope that's all I got! It's well worth that price, but hyping it up to someone as comparable to an epic 100 hour Bethesda RPG set in a nuclear wasteland is only going to lead to disappointment.

My offering? Borderlands mixed with Condemned, by way of Left 4 Dead.

There's an amazing weekend sale on PSN at the moment. For under £4 (with a PS+ discount on top) it includes:

    Call of Juarez Gunslinger
    Aliens: Colon Marines
    Terraria
    Street Fighter 4 AE
Port Royal 3 (nearly bought this but need to find more out about it first)
    Latest WRC game
    Splinter Cell trilogy
    Flashback

I picked up the top three, but nearly bought more than that. Aliens is more of a morbid curiosity than anything, but for three quid I'll give it a try.
