No need to apologise. Donegal did what they had to do and it nearly worked. Would have made for an awful final to watch though. Totally agree with everything you said.

I agree too. Spillane and O'Rourke are idiots. If someone is playing within the rules then everything is fine, they are just trying to maximise their strengths. Spillane even said something about the need to legislate it out of the game. He has no faith in the game itself, it seems. I nearly made a complaint but it would've been too Daily Mail/Joe Duffy.

Edit: As far as today goes, I'm expecting Kilkenny to explode into the game at every position. How successful they are and how Tipp respond is gonna be interesting.

    \Predictable backlash.

The homely girls who actually play GAA have a problem with the fact that some models in their underpants got more attention than they ever will.

This is Ireland. You can't do anything without offending someone. We're a sickeningly P.C. country now.

Ireland today and the Jackeens to get hammered tomorrow would make a fantastic weekend for Irish sport.

Dublin take it with a last minute point from a freekick from their keeper Cluxton. Probably deserved it in a game that swung from one side to the other. Best final for a while.

What did you make of the no pitch invasion? Looked great on TV the players having the comfort of a lap of honor and getting a chance with their kids to enjoy it. One moment on TV stuck out was Paul Caffrey in his Garda uniform hugging the players. Great scenes.

I've always loved the way the euphoria of the win spills over on to the pitch, but like you said, it was great to see the players have the opportunity to celebrate their win with their families. And the Paul Caffrey moment was just great. That's the GAA summed up right there for me.

And, to be honest, the atmosphere was great on The Hill anyways.. everyone hung around, there was good banter with the Kerry Fans around us... its not like we missed out on anything.

Twas a great day.. and it looks like a few of us will be heading in to Merrion Square for the parade later too.

Haven't watched the Hurling this year at all but this game (Dublin vs Cork) is fantastic.
    Also, Hawk-Eye!

So have any non-Irish folks started watching the GAA now it's on sky this year? Looking like a quality finish in this Armagh Donegal game.
