Derval O'Rourke running tomorrow in the hurdles. Despite her form last year its thought she'll do well to make the finals because of her recent injuries which made her miss out on the indoor circuit

My thoughts too. Anyone watch the preview on RTE tonight about the Hurling Final next week? Missed it while doing the baby duties.

Go Limerick! Even though I don't rate their chances much against the Cats.

Any idea if RTE are showing the Derval heats live?

Anyone watch the Kildare vs Tyrone match? Such a great match!

Can't wait for Kerry - Dublin tomorrow. Do hate the 2pm throw ins though

Bit too close for my liking.

We were shite in the first half, but Micky must have given them a right bollocking at half time and we were miles better in the second.

Twas indeed a great match though, I haven't been that nervous since last years final.

    Anyway....\o/ :)

As good as Kildare were (and they did put in a good shift) you always had the feeling Tyrone would turn it on when needed and shade it. Great final 10 minutes from them.

Donegal went to absolute bits earlier, such a shame given some of the stuff they played to get that far. Wonder will Dublin do the same tomorrow?

    Woah. Weird.

Anyway...My head has only just stopped pounding from last night. Celebrations are fun :)

Kerry are giving Dublin a bit of a schooling right now, eh? Bloody hell.

This performance and Cork's yesterday has me a little concerned.

I didn't get to watch it.. was it a good game?

A good few lads off my team have money on Down for the Ulster Championship from the start

Patchy, decent in places. The first 10 minutes in each half of reg time were instantly forgettable, the rest, quite ok. Good end to the match in normal time and the extra period was keenly contested with the momentum swinging back and forth rather nicely.

Donegal need to learn how to quicken and lengthen their play (blanket defence contains them too easily) and to take greater responsibility for point taking: just too many scardey cats out there passing off good opportunities to shoot just to avoid the glare of missing a chance.

It's a pretty risky bet going for Down in Ulster, imo, but hope springs eternal and maybe Tyrone will misfire or succumb to stew poisoning for that game ;)

Anyone watch the final today? Such a great win for Tipp. They totally deserved it.

Best game of hurling i've seen in ages. Its during games like that I wish the GAA had a bigger audience.

Watched it alright, great to see Tipp hold on. Completely deserved win. With Kilkenny's track record, it was getting a bit too predictable.

Yup really looking forward to it. C'mon The Cats!!!

Did you watch that muck last weekend?

As much as I wanted Dublin to lose it would have been an awful final with Donegal in there.

Yeah I got a feeling Kilkenny are going to win. Supporting Galway in the minor, it's looking pretty good at half time.

Haha I missed it unfortunately and won't be able to watch the final as I'll be back at uni by then :-(

Should be a good final this afternoon, can't wait. In the meantime, come on Galway!!

Bit out of the blue, but I hate the way Donegal have been vilified simply because they chose a strategy that they felt gave them the best chance of success. Pat Spillane probably wanted them to turn up, play what he considers to be the beautiful game, lose by 20 points, and then he could sit in his ivory tower and sneer at the poor Donegalers and God love them, but sure at least they tried.

He said: "It's not just a victory for Dublin, it's a victory for football", or something similar. I cannot disagree more. Each team should try to win following the rules of the game. Donegal did something different, and I really hoped they could have finished it off. In a way, though they didn't reach the final they've had their reward for a successful campaign. Now for the final, we have Dublin vs Kerry, which I feel is a bit of a Hobson's choice for everyone outside those two counties.

    /bit ranty. Sorry.

/Hoping for a Tipp victory. Again, sorry!
