I'm going to be an Uncle quite soon and I want to offer up some futuristic sounding names to my sister for the little tyke. It's a boy, but for the sake of discussion I wouldn' mind seeing some female names too!

Insofar all I've come up with is:
    Halon
    Lunas
    Galron
    Nebular

    :/

    Any ideas?

My sister wants to call him Elijah btw. Boring!

To be honest these things go in cycles. Future names are probably things like Mavis and Roy.

Yeah something about ending "on" makes it futuristic sounding.

Elements work well. So just have a browse through the periodic table

    http://www.webelements.com/

I found Actinium on there which is a fairly cool name.

    Cool. I like!

I was thinking of Shran for a boy or Ezri for a girl. Star Trek I know but they're good at coming up with these sorts of things. :/

Oh Mendelevium is quite good. For a girl obviously.

Telling them they were named after an Actinoid would go down so well. Actually the Actinoids is a great name for an alien race. Attack of the Actinoids!!!

Just on the subject of elements did the universe expand or something since I was at school as I am sure they have made up a load of new ones.

    Baby name wizard.

Blog article with a similar dilemma.

    Les Jones says :
People today are naming their sons Colt and Ruger to evoke toughness and an Old West sensibility. In a dozen years or two parents who want their kids to have a tough name that's futuristic will name their sons Taser. You watch.
    Tazer/Taser - heh.

One of my friends has always maintained, if he were to ever sire a girl, that he would name her Chlamydia Big Tits the Third.

    Kinda catchy.
