Yeah, this is necessary because the yoof of today doesn't even have the attention span extending to a 30-page comic. I dunno who this reflects worse on, to be honest.

    I don't think the Beano's changing though - yet.

    It better not.

I mean, it's not like I'm supporting it by buying it or anything... but it's nice to know it's there!

"They required a guide, packed with the stuff kids need to know to stay in the loop - a lifestyle magazine attuned to their hectic lives, featuring all the latest trends, must-haves, must-sees and must-dos."

These are 5-10 year old kids, right? Since when do kids require a lifestyle guide? (For that matter, why does anyone, but let's stick with the kids)

    It's a univeral truth really.

It's a terrifying thought that kids are 'too busy' to read a short comic...if that's the case what hope is there for them reading books?

    Bloody computer games and internet.

Heh, i used to read Dandy when i was a kid, and that wasn't long ago!

I still remember the special comic when they change to full colour!
  • Deleted user 5 August 2007 11:25:45
Full colour ruined the Beano, I remember that. Calamity James in colour?!? Pfft!

I was always a Dandy man myself, as it always seemed to be the thinking child's comic. Beano was for less bright boys and girls.

If it wasn't for the Dandy, I wouldn't have wanted to know what gout was.

Fucksake, they already gave Dennis the Menace a hoodie, it's just a matter of time.

They should take the entire comic in that direction then, today Dennis smokes a couple of rocks then decides to stab people at random.

Hey, it ain't easy being a "meance" these days and you know kids will always test your rep...
