Hello all, i hate hello threads so this seems like a good place to introduce myself! I'm a graphic designer, 29, living in sunny slough. Why in a darts thread? Well i design the things! C'mon Barney ftw!

Is it just me or did anyone else used to think that Lakeside (as in the venue for the tournament) was the Essex scumhole Lakeside and not some plush Surrey country club...? The room just gives it that whole bingo hall feel... Might just be me I guess...

He's like Giant Haystacks back from the dead to play darts and eat more pies!

What was it with the paper? Barney, sort it out!

Astonishing stuff. Any chance he'll get a haircut for the final do you think?

Actually, they usually look like they've just been dragged through a hedge backwards but I take your point. I love the way the camera spends more time on them than on the darts itself. Adds to the tension and sense of atmosphere though.

Did anyone understand a word he said after he won? Was he speaking Uzbek? o_O

Little known fact: before he joined the professional darts circuit, Bobby George used to work in local government.

Not showing it on Canadian telly. Downloaded some highlights from UKNova last night but haven't had time to watch them yet. I miss darts! :(

So who's missing this year then? Not another massive split in the world of darts I hope?

    Off we go again.

Why oh why does the Lakeside darts championship run almost concurrently with the PDC one? Yeah, I know there was the split but it's inconsiderate dagnabbit!

\o/ At Ally Pally, should be a huge crowd. I love a bit of darts. The wife thinks I'm a chav cunt. I point out there's nothing new there really.

Nice :) Always a great atmosphere there.

The last tournament in September which Wade won had some great matches.

You can get some pretty good odds on anyone besides Taylor, I don't know if it's worth placing a bet though.

Wade and Barney have a good chance, they're on the opposite side of the draw to Taylor.

Back to 3-2, this next set is crucial.

Anderson was just excellent earlier against Barney.

    Brilliant darts from Webster! :)

Wow. He got slaughtered there, 5-2. Never seen PT beat so comprehensively.

Gary Anderson my tip for the tournament though.
