I wonder if this'll be a dual download/BRD release? It's certainly faster to respond to invites with games on your HDD than swapping discs.

Yeah, I hope they make it a download. As someone said before, more online games should allow the online portion to not require the disc, makes things so much easier.

Very cool!

To be honest, I can't really see Konami releaseing this game on a disc, seems more likely it'll be downloadable or come as a part of MGS4 or something.

And I don't mean that in a sarcastic way.

edit: although my primary problem with dlc is obviously the question of 'ownership' and what happens if your console gets borked/sold and you get a new one.

Indeed. But not actually having a copy of the game in my hand is pretty much never going to happen for me with anything that costs more than �10, which I expect this to do.

Embrace Digital Delivery. I'd buy downloads all the time if they were competitively priced, im sick of having dvd cases sitting around everywhere, i just don't have the shelf space anymore!

Screens on EG in case anyone hasn't seen them.

Appear to use MGS4 engine...?

I believe this is a stand alone game (i.e. not part of MGS4), ideally it would be a PSN title for less than �10, but somehow I doubt it...?

We'll just have to wait and see (unfortunately)

Yay, i was worried they might have not got all the cool moves and animations from MGS4, but they do, so the gameplay should be alot better than Subsistence and PO (which i enjoyed anyway)

They could do, but Subsistence was really a testing ground. They wanted to see how people like the camera mode and the online play.

PO was an extension of this really.

What i think they want to do with the full MGO is make a proper game out of it, as in make it really worth the �40 full retail price. This is what they have been working towards, and i think it will be abit special.

I dunno, I love it on Live Arcade... Just being able to select these games from a menu without putting a disk. It means that I play games that I otherwise might not.. convenience factor.

Yes, and it's not *too* bad at those price points. As soon as you get to the stage where the DLC that you have purchased is either coming in at �15+ a time levels, or that the total you've spent on it is quite high, then you're at risk.
