One doesn't treat themselves to a McD. Burger King, maybe, but not McD.

Not a great fan of BK, some of the burgers are ok, prefer mcd fries. Anyway love my Big Mac followed up by apple pie and mcflurry combo. Or I may wait until after deadlift session on Friday

That circuit routine is a great beast to the body, not just strength but cardio as well. Nice way to end a session

But why would you follow it with such filth?

(For what it's worth, I also prefer McD fries, but all of their burgers are made of cardboard)

I like McDs too. Burgers maybe not as much as BK but at least the calories in McD are passable, unlike a double whopper which is about 1200 calories on its own.

its some twunts birthday here today he's loaded the table with cakes, crispy cremes and sweets. I am fairly sure i can resist for most of the day, but it just makes me rethink why i am bothering trying to be healthy. why dont i just eat shitloads of nice food.

Any of you use the arm bike? It's working for me at the moment. It's really fucking hard.. Our one is a Technogym one, I put it on maximum level 30, and do approx 30 - 33 RPM for about 12 minutes

Yeah they can be a bit of a beast. Enjoyed the circuit I did today, my old gym no one would have noticed what I was doing. Commercial gym I'm in now, get loads of looks from people wondering what hell I'm doing and what drugs I'm on :)

    hahahaha

thats why i like my city boy gym. I'm not a big person by any means, but if you put more than 20kg on each side of your bench people look at you going "er do you need a spot for that mate"

makes up for my small willy :-(

Was doing the circuit, where you are throwing that weight around need to concentrate so don't you mess things up, drop the weight or have a accident. Especially as you are getting tired on the last set. heard some girl saying during the OHP section" Ooohhhh he's throwing my bodyweight around " just caught me off guard and I was trying not to laugh. Which is a bit dodgy standing with the weight above your head :)

Should have offered to throw her about a bit... whilst twirling the weight in mid air... with your penis.

Hah, that's a very noble exercise. I might try that tomorrow.

    @craigy

Sorry to say that most of the people that use my gyms weight area are a bunch of messy cunts. Main pet hate is people not putting dumbbells/plates/barbells away.

With those dumbbells had to search across the whole weights area as they were all over the place. When moving the plates use one hand and grip it between thumb and fingers. Just little bit of grip fore arm training between exercises. Or 2 plates in each hand if you can do it. I get the strange looks when I'm walking like that with a 20kg plate in each hand from where I did the exercise to the furthest weight rack

Just did cardio session and was often distracted by couple of women who had thin waists but at least DD cup size breast bouncing around on the treadmills. Damn these temptations as I'm tryin to prefect my strokes on the rowing machine :)

Perhaps take five to perfect your strokes in the locker room.

Bollocks. I lost way too much weight this week which means I probably lost most of it in muscle (I refuse to use my fat monitoring scales until I can work out again, will just depress me).

Now watch me tweak my calorie intake and put on a kg instead. =/

Must share my latest finding with you fellow bro-tein brothers.

Reflex Instant Whey Deluxe (the key is in Deluxe)

About 35 for a big tub, i got the banoffee flavour. 2.5 scoops Mixes really well in a shaker with 250ml of water, contains about 22g of good whey protein and amino acids, and only 107kcal to boot!

actually tastes pretty nice, almost like real banana, although avoid if you dont like sickly sweet (or add more water)

Best i've had for a while, the normal Reflex stuff tastes a bit like turd.

Did my first comp for 2 years on Saturday. Nailed a 225 squat (15kg PB), 150 bench (5kg PB) and a 250 deadlift (matched PB) for a 625kg total (all raw). Weighed in at 98 on the day. Pretty chuffed.

Next comp I think will be in August. I plan to trim down to 88-90kg and then get myself a squat suit and bench shirt and start lifting equipped.
