I wouldn't be able to afford to live here if BoJo had his way and scrapped the affordable housing requirement for new developments. Ken fought tooth-and-nail against Brown over the part-privatisation of the tube, and time has proved him right (the Tory privatisation-fetishists would readily sell the whole network to whichever of their chums wanted it). Ken's given us a bus network which actually works, as opposed to the mess we had eight years ago. Ken's worked to maintain good relations between London's various communities, whereas Johnson has form as a racist.
I can't stand Livingstone's personality, and I believe Paddick would be an excellent administrator, which why Ken's only getting my second-preference; but London needs Johnson about as much as it needs the BNP.
