Registered 3 years agoI don't think we'll see it on Wii. A laggy online would really hurt it's appeal and without online it probably wouldn't be a huge step up from the GC game.
F Zero on the next console would probably be a lot better. -

Complaints in the Daily Mail of children who played the game and ended up with their eyes bleeding wouldn't do much good for Nintendo's PR though.Razz wrote:
That sounds like an amazing idea. Never crossed my mind before but a 3D version of F-Zero, especially if it could at least approxminate the graphics in the gamecube version, would definitely get me to pick up a 3DS.
Maybe nintendo are working on a 3D fzero for the 3DS -

Registered 5 years agoTo ease your dissapointment a little Shinen are releasing a game called FAST soon on WiiWare and it seems to fit the bill.

Somehow this small German team seem to get more out of the Wiis hardware then other third party devs. -

It's about time, imagime, 1080p F-Zero with online play?! Maybe some ship customisation, and maybe some silly extra that has your mii riding a rocket sled.

Registered 3 years agoI think an F-Zero for the Wii U with online racing (with as many players as is technically possible) at 1080p 60fps as a downloadable launch title would be perfect and would probably convince a few that Nintendo are taking the Wii U seriously.
Probably slightly unrealistic thinking on my part though, but here's hoping!XBL/ PSN/ Steam/ NNID - MatMan562

Registered 11 years agoI think it more likely 720p60 than 1080p60. I doubt it will be a launch title, Nintneod is likely to be concentrating on other stronger brands at first. In a couple years is anything, announced next year e3 and available in the EU the following March.--------------------------------------------------------------------

Registered 3 years agoYeah, as a launch title does seem unlikely, but that link suggested it would be a downloadable game and I can see them wanting a strong first party game on there from the start. I can see them doing what Ridge Racer on the Vita did (though hopefully better) by starting with a basic game for a very cheap price and then adding more and more to it with dlc... i'm still not convinced I like the idea of dlc with Nintendo's ideas on pricing but i'd certainly give it a try for F-Zero.XBL/ PSN/ Steam/ NNID - MatMan562

They're a tiny European studio with no history of working with Nintendo, it's much more likely to be a sequel to FAST Racing League IMO.
@Armoured_Bear why not? -

Registered 8 years ago@Armoured_Bear well if Nintendo don't understand why people want FZero it could make sense to give it to a small low cost studio to test the waters. -
