    Where is it Nintendo?

    Where's my F-Zero Wii with Excite Truck controls ;_;

Hopefully TGS will shed some light on this seemingly forgotten franchise.

And Pilotwings, 1080, Waverace and Pikmin!!!!

Still they did show us some new lovely Mario, in both Kart and Galaxy form, so not all bad.

    I haven't forgotten! I haven't forgotten plenty!

This and Pikmin are pretty conspicuous by their absence at the moment. Maybe Nintendo are trying to save up a couple of announcements for other events.

I don't think there's much point them annoucing many new games when we are still awaiting Mario Galaxy, Metroid and Smash Bros. Plus they annouced Mario Kart and Wii Fit (although we all new they were coming).

Next year is when they'll annouce all those games. Plus a new Zelda ;).

    What he said, doubly so.

Pikmin on the Wii = YUM!

It's quite obvious to a lot of people that the console manufacturers are at E3 this year to showcase (in general) software due for release until the end of this financial year.

The lack of big surprises are across the board and I'm pretty sure other events will reveal some of their future efforts.

Edit - What the good man Pac-Man said... ;o)

They cancelled it in favour of a laundry simulator.

There is another Nintendo event this afternoon (US time) so stay tuned!

But they wouldn't choose to mention these titles today after not even giving any indication about them at the keynote.

I wanted to see (or get more officially confirmation on); Animal Crossing, Pilotwings, Wave Race / F-Zero, Luigis Mansion Wiimake...and some actual new stuff they constitutes a game rather than a step-aerobics accessory.

    Really?

I would love to play F-Zero with similar controls to the Cow Racing game in Wii Play. Obviously a tighter system. But I'm sure, much like Mario Kart, F-Zero will have a number of control configurations.

Personally inan updated F-Zero I'd like to see standard controls and gameplay, with the remote/pointing used only for the long-awaited update of the F-Zero X construction kit they need to include :)

Never tried the 64DD one but it was a nice little feature (albeit in handheld form) on Climax from the quick look I've had at ti.

Didn't Iwata say a while back that Nintendo had a load of DS and Wii games in production? Where are they? F-Zero and Pilotwings must surely be among them?

Indeed, I seriously doubt what has been shown so far at E3 is what Nintendo have "in their bag" but this has purely been a showcase of software/peripherals for consumption in 2007, as has been stated often of all manufacturers.

I would imagine that TGS or a Spaceworld / Nintendo World event similar to that leading up to the launch of Wii would be a better platform to give an indication of what 2008 will bring, as such events tend to fall later in the year (around September/October).

Nintendo have proven over the years that they do not turn their backs on franchises that have made them a quick buck in the past, and I doubt this move towards the mainstream consumer market will halt titles such as F-Zero, Pilotwings or Pikmin. Blinkered? Me...!? Never... ;oP

Hey, I'm an all-encompassing love machine! I just enjoy particular franchises and can't wait to see their iteration on whichever machine they may choose to show their new fineries.

Yeah, after this year Nintendo stops making games, totally. They just don't need any more money.

Why would they show these games? First of all they won't be finished this year anyway plus it would probably trigger more "well, just another f-zero, and all they can roughly say is 2008". The chances that F-Zero will be on the Wii are nearly 100%, so why bother. Of course it's nice to have confirmation but there's always next year's E3 or even this year's Games Convention in Germany and I'd rather wait one year to actually see something of the game rather than the name only.

I also think that Nintendo need a bit more time to test online, after all F-Zero Wii would be a letdown if it did not feature 30 player multiplayer online races.

    As per usual, well said.

It would be ridiculous if Nintendo had showed every single one of their IPs at E3, and even if they did, people would still complain. We all know that F-Zero, Pilotwings, Animal Crossing, etc are on the way, so just be patient (a quality not possessed by many gamers).

    Capcom eh?

As long as they don't make it anything like Auto Modellista (thanks Kal) I'll be happy with that. Well, sort of.
