I watched it all last year for the first time, I liked it from an individual character perspective. The overall story was so bizarre though, and I consistently found myself losing interest every time they did anything with the motorcycle guy. Good show but I didn't love it, the women though..man.. 90's hot is best kind.

I always liked the general tone and setting off the show more than the story. from what I've read about the making of the show it seems like alot of it was made up as they went and it shows.

It's going to be on at the same time as in America, so 2am if you have sky Atlantic. Then shown again at 9pm in the evening.

I don't want to get my hopes up too much. Since the series was on the air, Lynch made my favourite movie, Mulholland Drive, so anything less than a total reshaping of the televisual landscape will probably be a disappointment for me.

The only way it can live up to my expectations is by going full on Inland Empire style Lynchian madness, and contriving a scene to beat Audrey tying a cherry stalk with her tongue. Can't be done, I reckon.

@GarlVinland I'm a bit worried about the generic looking young actors in the trailer, Audrey Horne they ain't.

I was checking the wiki. I think they'd actually got some filming of him (And Catherine Coulson / Log Lady) as it says on the wiki they're going to be in it. I hope to fucking god it's just when they were alive and no CGI. Surely not, right?

He was fucking brilliant in twin peaks :(

He's in the trailer, and the article I read said log lady finished all her scenes. I would guess he died after filming too, very sad though.

I can't recall Lynch ever doing CGI. Knowing him he's probably fervently opposed to it and he's always been strongly in control of his works.

    I wouldn't worry about it :)

They couldn't pick up a story 25 years later without adding some new characters to the story, so new blood in the show will be interesting, and Mark Frost has hinted at the new season using the original story as a backdrop to something new set in the world of Twin Peaks.

So I'm guessing we will be getting a new mystery of some kind that ties into the original story. Which in my mind is more interesting than simply just continuing where season 2/FWWM left the story.

I've been watching the old ones in prep as I haven't seen them in over a decade. They've aged bloody well, the Bob scenes are still well scary. I remember it going off the boil after the killer was confirmed, but up till then it's pretty amazing.

I'm watching this with my gf who otherwise refuses to watch anything made before 2010, she's captivated. The first season is an absolute masterclass in pacing, all killer, no filler. We're watching Lost as well and for all the budget and effects, TP still handles its mysteries better.

Yeah, Season 1 is a straight 10/10 series.

Season 2 starts very strong, but then gets completely derailed when the network forced them to reveal the killer. That gave them just days to figure out a whole new set of plot lines for the rest of the season, as in those days they were filming stuff a just weeks before the episodes went out.

Season 2 is a mixture of 9/10 & 10/10 episodes at the start and then a lot of painful 2/10 episodes after the killer is revealed. And then its rounded off by an absolute 10/10 masterclass in surrealism in the final episode - and still to this day, probably the weirdest episode of TV ever broadcast on network TV.

Yup, I honestly can't remember. Well, I remember stuff (big stuff, admittedly), but can't remember the final moments.

Fucking hell! I'll have to watch the last episode again to get back to speed

Anyone else like the film? It got panned but I think it's really underrated. One of Lynch's best imo.
