    Civ IV, epic map, epic length, 15+ opponents, hard difficulty. GO!

    I meant whichever was the longest - is marathon longer than epic? Was epic even a choice?

    My last game got me to about 2050. English vs the Russians, one hemisphere vs. the other, with the Chinese, Persians, French, Japanese, Aztecs and Indians all sitting around nervously. Each turn in the opening stages of the war took almost an hour, simply because of all the units.

    So I quit. It was too big.

    Think I'll pick this up for iphone. I found the PC version a little confusing to get to grips with, didn't help that the tutorial seemed broken and little Sid chips in with some advice then disappears, leaving too many blanks. I was doing as I was told but had no idea why, there seemed to be lots of activity and things happening but from one turn to the next I couldn't be sure what they were.

    Hopefully Civ Rev will be a bit simpler.

    Cracking game. Not played it on iphone but I imagine it's pretty much the same as x360 version.

    I've played Civ Rev for literally 100s of hours and I still go back to it every other month or so.

    If you're a Civ 'newbie' then Rev is a great way to learn the general principles of the Civ universe.

    Roll on Civ 5 as Civ 4 hasn't had a look in since Xmas, whereas Civ Rev most certainly has.

    Does anyone know why this is listed on games on demand but has no buy option? Did they take it down?

    Because of the complexity of the game, they decided that they would make the buying of the game a puzzle. On that section there are a number of well hidden clues that take you to a series of other sites, each more fiendish than the last until you finally are told how to buy and download the game.

    Either that or I have no idea and this post was a waste of my time for writing it and yours for reading it. Think of it as adding a couple of points to your research resources.

    Just played a great game of this with Snakehips. Snakey started off ahead but soon good the Mongol's at his door. Then the greeks. Then the USA. While I was left alone the entire game to build my Spaceship and chill out eventually winning a scientific victory. Poor ol' Snakey suffered all game just to watch me win.

    Oh well!

    It's one of the failings of Civ Rev, as much as I love it, that the AI picks on whoever takes an early lead.

    How long was I at war with the Mongols and America? 1500+ years I'm guessing which screwed my awesome start.

    Oh well, never mind, I'll practice and beat you next time :p

    Not played it online before, was a good game. ps - thanks for the nuke :p
