Was on the train back from Paddington last night, was uncomfortably full as it was, and I had to sit there listening to this 17 year old kid (talking to his mate) who thought he was the funniest person alive. Full of hilarious tales about prostates and shitting himself, whilst small children were dotted around the train.

What's most disturbing is I could see my 17 year old self reflected by him.

What stupid fuck decided it would be a good idea to open up shops on Sunday an hour early for "browsing" before the tills open?

Just means a fucking massive queue right from the off.

I hate single-handle water taps. Two thirds of the range is 100C, and only a few nanometres for everything inbetween.

Stupid weather! I had a really nice evening planned for tonight but Winter Wonderland has been closed due to extreme weather! How bad can it really be? Going to be seriously pissed off if it's anything less than a hurricane later.

They're predicting 100-120 km/h winds on the Belgian coast. So no doubt similar for you lot across Why not make the best of it with an alternative fun filled evening ... taking a ferry across to Dunkirk: 2 hours of fun filled stormy crossing and then back! Should be exciting.

Why are so many 4X and Strategy game developers seemingly incapable of creating a decent tutorial?

    Paradox, I'm looking at you

Which game in particular? For Crusader Kings 2 I spent around 3 hours on YouTube before I could begin playing as the tutorials were useless

I'm assuming it's about Crusader Kings 2. The game really is not newbie-friendly at all.

It goes for a lot of strategy games, really. RTS games too. There seems to be an assumption that anyone playing these games already knows how to play them, so they don't need to worry about explaining things coherently. That or they lack the ability to explain things coherently.

Crusader Kings certainly. But other games as well - Sword of the Stars, for example.

Obviously it's a heavily complex genre by definition, but jeez they really should do a better job of making the learning curve a lot easier.

For fucks sake. Turns out the school they are building in the estate where I just bought my house is going to be a COE school. It was one of the main perks of the house, but now I have to look at schools further out.

Fake it! COE is probably the easiest religion to bluff in the world.

    I couldn't do it.

I would feel like far too much of a hypocrite.

So what if it's CoE? What's the problem?

Pretty sure faith schools have to have an intake of non/ other religious types too. Certainly do at our kids schools.
