More money/time. Too much is coming out in the next two weeks that I must buy which is funny because usually the summer months are quite shallow considering quality releases.

Oooh, I hope these good reviews keep up. At the moment I'm weighing up The Darkness, Overlord, Shadowrun, and Flatout.

Four go in (to my head) only one survives (with my money). :)

    Will this bve another Riddick?
    Great game. Poor sales.

If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.

Riddick was awesome up until that bit in a pit with infinte Gollum-like creatures chasing you around and you had a limited flashlight. Couldn't be arsed with that, and stopped playing it.

I was dreading that bit when I recently replayed it.

    Easy and quick as hell.

Really? I found it incredibly difficult, ended up just randomly wandering about and swearing under my breath.

Riddick was awsome. There were some annoying moments but it was so worth it. I'm sure they can pull of something good here, maybe not as stellar as Riddick but hey, I have a certain loyalty to good developers (these guys aren't top of the list, that rank belongs to IO...)

Did Riddick not sell ok? They are doing a remake after all.

It always pops up as a Great game no one bought or a forgotten gem &c. But now that you put me against the wall like that I'm not so sure. It could just be a bunch of HAlo haters venting their fury.

If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.

Does the darkness have any online component?

Edit - Official website says: "Fight online in multiplayer play piting your favourite darkling against someone elses"

Does that mean it's not an online shooter?

Darklings are those creatures you can send out to do your dirty work, is the MP just fighting with those, or actual shooting? That's what I'm asking. Or does no one know?

    Multiplayer:

    Developers talking: Link.

Quote from the interweb: "three of the four will be familiar to shooter veterans. Deathmatch, team deathmatch, and capture the flag should all be self explanatory, while survivor is The Darkness' take on a familiar formula. Everyone starts as a human apart from one player, whose job it is to kill the humans and turn them into darklings--the last human alive wins the match. The other version of survivor is similar in that every player but one is a darkling, and the single human is the only player who can score points. Therefore, the idea is to kill the human to become one yourself, and then attempt to score by eliminating other darklings."

    From here: Link.

Level eh? I Think they usuallly know what they are on about. So very promising, even if Swedish mags have a tendency to rate Swedish games highly.
