    Right, searched a bit for this thread but apparently this game doesn't have an official thread and to give this original game the much needed attention it apparently isn't getting...here it is.

    Hopefully it gets more attention when the H3b ends. The reviewer was wrong on the price. I bought it for 40€ and it's definitely worth it.

    The should add more game modes though.

    I think its abit of a marmite game really, i can understand why people would and wouldn't like it. I just get confused alot with the teleporting

    Id like to see how the PC version is, but im not buying it to see the result..

    Yeah but that's the beauty of this game. The magic changes the combat so much that it gives endless possibilities to combine fighting tactics.

    I prefer to be an elf (fast) with a glider & teleport. It makes me extremely fast & mobile (teleport through the roof of a building and become death from above). I usually also pack resurrect so I can quickly move about and resurrect team mates.

    I've played a lot of MP games but this game has to be one of the most variable and original gameplay mechanic I've ever seen.

    But then again most people just like to replay the Q2/Doom2 formula over and over again.

    I suppose it's lack of being mainstream is a blessing, up till now I've only played with friendly people. Not one count of racism, cursing, etc.

    i just find it funny when people teleport and stand there for a few seconds trying to the find the guy they were fighting :p

    That's where the skill in teleporting comes out, no point teleporting randomly, you've gotta know your surroundings so you don't end up screwing yourself over.

    But yeah, I'll be playing this from next friday.

    I find the teleport goes further than im used to with this sort of thing, if it was like 2ft less id be fine, but as its 8ft (i think) it just really throws me...

    Do you have to pay a subscription to play the PC version online? Or can you play for free against other PC players?

    Teleport is the best weapon when you master it.

    Last round I was fighting with a guy on the ground (me hovering above him), disabled my glider, teleported right behind him and killed him. He didn't even know where I went.

    If you have XBL gold account you get the windows one free.

    But its like £30 a year or something for live...

    Gah, I would pick this up right now, but there's no point as I'm getting married next Saturday and then I'm off on honeymoon. It'll have to wait until July before I go and pick up the full version.

    One thing I'd like is if you could play splitscreen with a mate, but that's not an option according to the back of the box...

    Well for pc gamers nothing changes when they use xbl except if they play crossplatform. I'm sure ms would want to do that free as well but it would fuck up their pricing system.

    I've got a feeling that the system will get a repricing sooner or later. They have been making shitloads of moneys from their dlc and the structure right now just doesn't make sense.

    A 20 € a year for any gold subscription would make much more sense and would be much more attractive for pc gamers.

    It would be interesting to see what MS's profits are on the whole dlc business.
