I enjoyed Gears split screen. Are there any other good games out there (discounting tennis games or whatever) they have good split screen play?

Doom 3 coop is ace. And the q2 version that comes with q4 has coop as well.

Another vote for Rainbow 6 Vegas - Excellent stuff in co-op. Especially terrorist hunt. You will not get bored of it for a long, long time.

    Yep, which is handy.

I dont seem to find that many good local co-op games now, which is a shame.

I get tired of all these so-called 'Co-op' games.

I haven't played a single one where you realise all the milk's out of date, get short-changed or get stuck behind some smackhead buying a bag of 'Tangy Toms' at 2am.

I just hope GoW2 can improve on these things.

    Actually, +1.

I can't remember the last time I got so engrossed in a game I lost track of time. The closest I come these days is Catan on XBLA.

Maybe I'm just hard to please.

I'll have to give it another go. Was put off in the past by screaming loudmouth american teenagers.

I enjoy the single player version anyway.

Speaking of which, Marvel Ultimate Alliance has up to four-player simultaneous play, in the style similar to Gauntlet (i.e. all on one screen).

Didn't know Rainbow Vegas had split-screen - does it have co-op storyline, or is it just individual setups?

You can do co-op missions or terrorist hunt. I forget if there is anymore.

Very, very correct. Yeah so it's old but damn, it plays well in co-op.

Co-op can make even average games seem awesome.

Serious sam was a good laugh, the "they just keep-a comin'" smash tv style gameplay was great for stress relief.

Oh and I always mention freelancer whenever anyone talks about coop.
