Too young, too bulky. Needs to be more gaunt.

Registered 7 years agoIs this a joke? They aren't actually going to make a shitty Hitman film and ruin the franchise are they?

Registered 9 years agoJesus, talk about bad casting. Agent 47 was 10 years older than this chump for a start, he looks like a goddamn Saved By The Bell extra FFS. -

Registered 9 years agoHe has the gravelly voice too, why they didn't get him I don't know. It would have been typecasting for him I guess, maybe he was offered it and turned it down -
Jason Statham? He's not right at all. Cockney wanker might be good in trash like Crank but he's not got the class for a role like this. They need someone older, quieter and with a hell of a lot more charisma and gravity.
Who's that child they've got to play him?? -

Registered 9 years agoStatham looks far too neanderthal though. I never once saw Agent 47 drag his knuckles along the ground.
How about Billy Zane, he's a cool guy?
Actually Ross Kemp would be ideal. He's bald, tough, used to be in the SAS and has also sigle handedly taken on the worlds toughest gangs. Not a bad CV. -

Jesus, yet another appalling choice by Dougray Scott. The man's a real conundrum. He's clearly doing okay for himself Stateside but insists on acting like he's constantly struggling to 'break through' by regularly picking the kinds of roles in the kinds of films that total n00bs would pick out of desperation.

Registered 8 years agoThey should have got the guy who played Sorter in Revolver to be the Hitman, hell all they needed to do was remove the little bit of hair that he has and make him replay the same role and voila... -

Registered 8 years agoI love the way none of you know who he actually is yet your sticking the boot in.
Anybody seen Deadwood?
Well he played Seth Bullock in that and was the best thing about that show besides McShane.
Maybe, just maybe they are making a film with a half decent story and needed a decent actor? Everyone else mentioned in this thread aside from the original voice over guy would have been fucking useless. -

Oh, yeah, I see it now. He still doesn't look right though, which is kind of the main thing as he was never the most talkative character in the world. -

Registered 8 years agoOlyphant is a decent actor, a much better class than Statham even if I think The Transporter would have been better casting.
Not so sure about the writer and director though... -

Olyphant is a great actor. Or at least, he is in Deadwood (maybe not so much so in Scream 2). Lots of simmering tension and anger in there. \o/
