    @jani5 I just tried 576i Skyward Sword on a 1080p TV and I can't really see any major difference, the gui is still very jaggy.

    Right. It's not just asking you 576i or 480p, it's asking you 576i/50 or 480p/60. You need to choose 480p/60, since that's the way the games were developed. No ifs or buts.

    You young un's. What we'd have done for a 60hz option back in the day...

    @brn 480p over component cables is the best you're going to get. If it's still too jaggy you need to find a CRT from somewhere and get an RGB scart.

    Good post, I was just coming in to say the exact same thing.

    Never mind the improved visual fidelity that 480p/60Hz gives, interlaced signal + 50Hz refresh = headache city.
