I wish they'd just make it in to a serious 30 minute show that just (sensibly) reviews the latest gadgets and gives news on stuff coming out in the future. Get rid of all the dumbed down bollocks and challenges and keep it focussed. It's impossible to watch this programme live.

I just record it now, watch the top 5, suzy and polly bits and ff the rest. It only lasts 10 minutes if you do that...

Not if you pause for a looong time on the Suzy and Polly bits.

Yup, it's getting very painful to watch now. Less top gear style challenges with contrived 'it's really close' endings, more gadgets please.
I couldn't agree more. It's a really bad watch now. Challenges FTL.

I do wish he would stop doing that. It's like fingernails being scraped down a blackboard.

I find the challenges fun to watch
    *ducks*

I really hate the term "gadge" though. Reminds me too much of "gadgie"

The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine.

Maybe a symptom of where I grew up. Vadge was not one of the terms we used. Actually IIRC fanny was more commonplace in my playground. Or cunt. Or punani...

It would be background fodder if it was just the older guy presenting. All the others are cringe.

Interesting nostalgic review of past 7 years for the 200th show. Advances in memory are mad.

Playing all the right notes— but not necessarily in the right order.

I've only seen it a few times, it's a bit "My First Gadget" isn't it? Always surprises me that the boss watches it.

I've only seen a couple. Talked to that Jason at the Expo party without really knowing who he was. Seemed nice.

Jet luge was funny. "I'm not dead!"

"To win all this, you'll need to know the answer to this question: How many years in 2 centuries? Is it:
    A: 2
    B: 200
    C: 2,000,000"

    THAT WAS THE ACTUAL QUESTION

Missed it today. I'm going to The Gadget Show Live agin this year. They were selling VIP tickets for £130. You could get to hang out with Polly and Suzi.

70 of these tickets in all. Not that bothered about getting THAT close to them.

Big changes at The Gadget Show.

    Clearout + Change of format

"The Gadget Show rebooted for 2012!

Channel 5 today announced that The Gadget Show will return to our screens this Spring in a new, revamped format. The brand new series will take the show on the road, as presenters Jason Bradbury and Pollyanna Woodward travel the globe to test the latest in consumer gadgetry.

Each week The Gadget Show: World Tour will see Jason and Pollyanna undertake an international gadget road trip. From Abu Dhabi to Silicon Valley, from New York to Monaco, our pair of gadget experts will give their verdict on the very latest high-street tech, as well as stopping off to showcase more cutting-edge technology.

Ian Dunkley, Factual Entertainment Commissioner says, “After 16 successful series it felt time for the show to go global and have some more fun. Our love of gadgets remains undimmed, and now the testing will be bigger, better, and in more exotic locations.”

On its travels, the show will be visiting Japan, the USA, the Mediterranean, and the UAE to test the best smartphones, laptops, TV’s, gaming consoles and cameras on the market. In the first episode, the show lands in Tokyo in search of parts to build a winning robot for a robot fighting tournament."

I'd imagine the crowd for that is almost as physically insulting as it is for the eurogamer one
