This is my plan.... My friend's have been helping make this stuff popular in Bangkok and it looks like it might really start to kick off... they've just got sponsorship from the largest Thai beer company.

Really nice vibe mixing it up... and you get to revisit some old favourites ( I'm looking forward to playing Carter's 'Shoppers Paradise' )

Do you use vinyl or CDs.... the CD decks confuse the shit out of me.

Yeah I know, but the question was for general stuff, not specifically "new" stuff, and this normally gets a lot of booty shaking.

    Hmmm...

    Klaxons are good.
    CSS are also good.
Enter Shikari are probably too heavy.
New Young Pony Club are good I hear.
    Mylo's a good choice.

Guero - Beck, too. Maybe Midnite Vultures but that album's a bit too camp for my liking! :)

    Fukin A!

    For both of em.

I can also reccomend "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" by Revolting Cocks. That's grinding stuff, best version of the song.

Sorry for taking an age to reply! I use predominantly vinyl, but most of the other DJs at the club I DJ use CDs. The fancy CD decks are great - you can produce some incredible effects with the minimum effort, but if something goes wrong it can all go to pieces. I guess I just trust vinyl more.

You should do fine - the club I DJ is in Islington, London, and I never thought it'd work (we mix pop, indie and electro). We're in our third year now, and still having an absolute blast. The club's called Crimes Against Pop if anyone is interested(!).

I just checked out Alala by cansei de ser sexy (portuguese/galician for I got tired of being sexy by the way in case you wondered what it meant) and really loved it, so thanks!

Erm if you like electropop and are open to some Spanish music try Fangoria, my fave group. I'd like to dance to this in a club. Features a young Elsa pataki making out with some guy.

Rippin Kittin by Golden Boy with Miss Kittin is definitely the best song in this genre. Do please check it out.

Soulwax. The band albums not the remix DJing stuff. Both albums are great.

    Beck would also work.

    Goldfrap.

    Curve.

    The Eels.

    Flaming Lips.

The Cure remix album. Oh God, this could go all day!

    FCUTA!

I'm not a huge electro fan but I heard this the other day(I wish I could remember where) and I thought it was pretty fantastic.

I saw them live in Manchester a couple of weeks back and when this dropped the place went bananas, they were utterly brilliant. The album II is also damned good stuff, they deserve a much wider audience.

I don't like genre pigeonholing much, but I'd definitely place this squarely in the techno camp, rather than electro.

Buy the album, Bill. Milk is the centrepiece - you will not be disappointed.

    Beautiful tender beings.
