Registered 11 years agoI'm pretty sure the best hangover cure is to not sober up completely. Have a drink next to the bed for when you get up to go to the bathroom, and start with one in the morning.
That being said, it does seem like greasy protein seems to help. Eggs and bacon are good, for instance... -

Registered 7 years agoI've no idea how, but the gf and I dodged a hangover today. Up 'til 2:30am drinking wine and smoking for England and woke up today feeling fine.
I've got a horrible feeling that the hangover is just biding its time and will unleash itself at any moment... -

Registered 10 years agoI've struggled all day after going out for more than a few with my beer monster brother. There was a brief interlude when I felt ok after eating a very lovely and greasy chicken, cheese and red onion wrap, and loaded up on sugary drinks but have been on a downward spiral ever since. Didn't mix (prob had 10-12 pints) and it wasn't a late night either (midnight). Getting old is shit -

I had an awesome time thanks! Absolutely shattered though. Decided to cut my trip short halfway through Sunday as I knew I wasn't going to make it through the day. Really hope they do another next year.BillMurray wrote:

Registered 9 years agoUgh. Head is pounding and throat is sore and dry. Room is spinning and I'm not completely convinced it's real. I can't stand up for more than 30 seconds before I feel like I'm going to come crashing down. And Iron Maiden are still ringing in my ears. It's awesome. -

Registered 8 years agoUgh, i'm the most hungover i've been in years, following a work BBQ. I've just dragged myself to Asda to get something in for tea, and came away with six different packs of biscuits. Shopping fail.

Registered 6 years agoOh, fuck me do I feel bad.
Aikido, impromptu party, a dozen beers. I'm fucking knackered, and I've got work and aikido again today.
A bacon and BBQ sauce sandwich should help.
Now to find someone to make it for me. -

Registered 4 years agoIn terms of preventing hangover - a Berocca fizzy tablet in 3/4 pint of water before bed. If you forget, get it down your neck in the morning.
Sometimes I also have a pint (of beer) pretty much straight away with food the following morning - works brilliantly; it actually has science behind it (Google it, can't be arsed to explain).
That is all.

Nothing seems to work for me these days. Used to be a fry up was my best bet, now I have to sleep most of the next day! (not easy when you're at work)
