Shopto are awful. They raped my cat when I was out.

Nah I'm only kidding. I have no idea if Shopto are any good or not. I don't even have a cat!

Anyone else having problems with their site?

It's taking fucking ages to load any of their pages

They've just put a rather decent sale up... unlike every other online game retailer.

I've got a cat AND I've bought around 30 games from Shopto over the past year.

They've all arrived next working day and all pre-orders a day or two early. Plus they generally have the cheapest prices around. The sale at the moment is actually pretty decent too.

Cats fine too. shes stretched out on the radiator now in fact, snoring.

Sounds like she's been drugged. Test her urine for rohypnol.

I order nearly all my games from them because they tend to be the cheapest and the deliver almost as quick as it would take for you to go and get the game in a shop yourself.

I have bought items off shopto.net many times (from a Wii console and Wii fit package onwards) and reading the reviews here nearly put me off ordering from them.

I have NEVER had any problems with delivery etc.., and they often offer the best prices on the net for such goods. Just bought Wii Guitar Hero II: Rock Legends for 37.98 which is a very very cheap way to get the guitar I wanted lol! The Wii console & fit package only cost 234 which was the cheapest price on the net and both items arrived next day as the site said. Plus they actually had them in stock just before Xmas lol.

I am nothing whatsoever to do with the site.., just an ordinary consumer. I have no idea what these negative reviews are about altho they are from some time ago but had to review following my experiences because the previous reviews were so negative and nearly stopped me ordering from them. I have also found customer services to be extremely helpful (the same can not be said of every other site)

Absolutely superb for me a couple of days ago. Ordered a couple of 360 games at around 5, got both of them by 1 the next day (and that's only because our postie is always pretty late).

I am a customer of ShopTo, and will remain loyal, as I've received nothing but top notch service.
I've never had an order go wrong, and I get my games within 24 hours, and preorders usually arrive one or two days before their expected release date...

Personally, I like to buy from ShopTo, not just because of their great order handling, customer service and prices, but because I can also see the people behind the scenes, and it makes it feel safer and more personal.

FWIW, I've bought a few games there. Only 3 or 4 but I've always received them the next day no hassle.

I'm trying to use them now but their site won't accept EITHER of my credit cards, saying the bank is rejecting; but the banks say they're not even seeing a transaction attempt.

Does anyone know if the site's having issues or out of business?

    Very annoyed...

I just went on the site to order 2100 MS Points.
Put my card details in, and after a little processing bar, it said that my attempt had not been successful as my bank had refused my payment. Thinking I might have entered the wrong details, I tried again. And got the same thing again.
Have just called my bank to ask them about it and guess what? Two debits have just left my account to shopto. But the shopto site doesn't acknowledge that any payment has been made and the item is still sitting in my basket.
This is my first time using the site, so to say I am unimpressed is an understatement. If I don't get a full refund by this time tomorrow, I'm taking it further.

How weird, I ordered 4200 points from shopto about a month ago with no problem. I've also ordered games from them in the past and had them the next day. However, as I've never had anything go wrong with them, I'm not in a position to judge how they are when fuck-ups DO happen: a lot of companies seem fine til something goes wrong, then reveal themselves to be hateful beasts (see play.com).

Indeed. Ordered 2100 points (for MVC2) yesterday morning and had received them in my account before the confirmation (which took a minute) had hit. Tis a great instant service (the instant point things).

Just spoken to them. After initially denying that they had taken any money out of my account, they eventually admitted it and claim that it will be back in my account by tomorrow. They have told me to try re-entering my card details, but now the site wont accept them. They claim it is because my address starts with a flat number instead of a house number.
    I'm suspicious.

    Update:

Apparently the company that handles their transactions has dodgy software that refuses to accept an address with the word "Flat" in it. They claim they will have it sorted out by the end of the weekend.

I've always had a great service from them. Probably the best value online games shop around. Prices are good and delivery speed is excellent. I ordered a game at 5pm and it arrive the next day.

ShopTo.net sell UK games at pretty competitive prices (generally same or cheaper than Play and Amazon). I've always had an excellent service from them.

Really like them, but they've removed my card details and I can't add another - perhaps because of the Flat part of my address - ShopTo told me a while ago it'd be fixed, but it still isn't so I can't use them :(
