Just been sent this thread - I've been waiting for 3months for Fifa 07 and they've not been replying to my emails (or phonecalls) asking them for my money back or to re-send it.

Having read all this I'm sceptical as to whether I'll see my money again...and I haven't got time to play Fifa now!

I don't know really I feel kind of bad even talking about this as I have had nothing but good service from shopto.net and Igor inparticular. :/

Its worrying but at the same time could be totally harmless.

My VT3 order is with shopto, shall I cancel it?

I wouldn't worry about it. He's been doing this site for a fair while now and if something was illegal then i'm sure they would have caught up with him by now.

From a customers point of view, the site is still sending out games on time and seems mostly reliable, so take advantage of it!

Of shopto.net? Are you sure? He is on the Disqualified Directors list at Comp House. There seems to be an exemption for another company though....

    To be fair..
Shopto do seem to be doing ok as far as customer service goes.
However, I do not like companies who threaten any forum to remove anything negative said about them.

Google for TSJ, or tsjhangra, and see just how many forums he has spammed for shopto. And that doesnt include all the removed posts from xbox.com etc.

They had people on AVForums saying that it was the best site ever, and anybody who claimed to have bad service was lying etc etc. It all turned out that these userID's were coming from shopto's IP address. Complete cheats.
So what did AVForums do... they deleted the threads and gave them sponsorship of the site.

I dont know how Igor gets away with still running another company after the ruling?

Friendly to the customers face yes, but friendly behind their back?? A BIG NO.

Just best to know the facts before you part with your money. You should be ok for your goods, just make sure you pay via CC, and be aware of whether you really want to make a man rich who a) likes to lie to customers (proven on AVF), b) threatens to get his own way and c) has already whipped £1million away from the government for not paying his taxes.

    All truths... :(

I ordered my first game from them last week on tuesday and it arrived saturday which isn't very next day but i'll let them off as i was probably in that 1% of orders that was mentioned earlier in the thread.

My agenda is simple. I was very annoyed at how they treated us at AVF. Other people found out about the ban etc. But it was all removed. So I am just making sure its not covered up everywhere.
I am amazed how well he manages to mute every forum going at anything negative.
If he hadnít planted people to call other people liars (when they genuinely had a shopto problem) I wouldnít mind so much. ALL companies get problems, and its how you deal with them that counts. Calling them liars is not the way to go.
Just call it a big bee in my bonnet.

I donít have any ulterior motive other than hating how they operate.

Other than that, go with whatever is cheapest on www.find-games.co.uk

I use play, blah, hmv (who are crap most of the time), gameplay, game (occasionally), dvd.co.uk).. the list goes on J

I ordered my second game from shopto on wednesday and again it's taking at least 3 days to arrive, normally i wouldn't mind but since they claim 24 hour delivery in the UK it's a bit anoying.

Anyone know where shopto ships from? as i'm thinking it must be somewhere very south which could be the reason my games are taking longer to get up tut north.

I've never used Shopto so I'm not sure if they use Royal Mail or not, but I'd assume that any delays from a game ordered on Wednesday would be because of the postal strike on Thursday, Friday, Monday and Tuesday of last and this week.

    That made me smile :)

How the hell did that happen? I can't even remember how I got to the thread and the very fact that I didn't look at the date shows that I'm a tough simple minded :(

I buy all my games from shopto.net. In fact I think it's the best online games store bar none. I have a PS3 and the games are on average £10-£20 cheaper then RRP. In fact if you go to Blockbusters 'Clive Barker's Jericho' is £44.99 but at shopto only £29.99. Now that's a £15 saving. I'm not a Shopto employee just a very happy customer.

In fact, the last 2 games I bought from Shopto were PRE-ORDERS, FIFA 08 and PES 2008, on PS3. BOTH arrived a day before the official release date. PES was even £29.99 when pre-ordered and it states prices may change. Now they are selling it for £37.99 yet I still only payed the original price they we're quoting.

So my tip of the day is - 'pre-order from shopto and you'll see the benefits'

Jeez, it's almost as if we're approaching a traditionally busy festive celebration period or something. I wonder what could be up.
