Agreed. It's usually less messy than pancake day.

"As a comedian you have to start a show strong and end the show strong, those are the two key elements: You can't be like pancakes, all exciting at first but at the end you're fucking sick of them."

    True, on both accounts. :D

If I'm eating thin swedish style pancakes I prefer strawberry or blueberry jam with cream on one layer and then sugar in two layers, like this... pancake - sugar - pancake - jam + cream
Then roll it up and eat it, while drinking milk. Repeat until gut busts.

If I'm having american thick bastards, it's blueberry jam and maple suryp all over in excessive amounts.

Today I'm doing oven pancake though, it's awesome. Pancake batter in an oven form... chuck bacon chunks in there (not small bits, but big chewy chunks) and cook it in the oven. Serve with strawberry jam.

Yarrr... Can't wait until I get home from the office. Fuck crunch time. Fuck it in its stupid ass! =(

Chocolate sauce and marshmellows for me today (the marshmellows melt in the hot pancake .... slurp) - but only once I've got a couple of boring savoury ones (cheese and ham) out of the way to please the wife.

Going to attempt tossing a few tonight myself. Being a giant bottle job though, I've bought some ready-mix. I'd fuck it up even more otherwise

Our office cafe is doing pancakes today. Yum. I brought fruit and nuts in today to tide me over, but the pancakes are definitely going to win out over that.

I still remember the steaming hot, wafer thin, sugar and lemon awesomeness of the pancakes my primary school teacher used to make us on pancake day.

Mr. Neville, your pancakes shall live on, so long as one member of your class survives!

Sugar and Lemon pancakes > Cheese and Ham pancakes > All other pancakes > King Cheetahs > Lotus Eleven replica > Gangrene.

    Definitely!

I like savoury ones. Rough chop spinach, grate some hard mozzarella, add some black pepper and mix with the pancake mix for gorgeous savoury pancakes.

Then the classic "brit" style ones with lemon juice and sugar.

I love wholemeal ones too, gives 'em a bit more bite.

We're having dutch style, with salami and cheese, followed by buckwheat pancakes with cherry pie filling and ice-cream.
