Over the past 2 months my flatmate and I have been having some brilliant offline coop games of Gears of War and Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

We've finished Gears now on Casual and Hardcore (can't be bothered with Insane for a moment) and we are on the final boss of MUA now so the end is very near.

What other shooting/adventure/RPG type games can be played on the 360 on co-op offline?

We've been looking at Lost Planet, Rainbow 6 Vegas and Condemned, but are not sure if they're co-op.

I see Crackdown is out on Friday and features co-op mode. Is this just online though?

    Bugger about Crackdown :-(

I've got Kameo (with my console, not really played it) and didn't realise it was co-op! Is this the full game? I might have to get PDZ cheap too.

I believe you have to download it from Live!

Its a free download though and must complete it in single player before you can play co op.

I guess I'll have to start it on my own tonight then! I only did up to the tree boss and then I got Oblivion, so didn't play it again. I've not got anything other than COD3 for the 360 on the go atm, so now's a perfect opportunity to play some of my old games. I think I've still got an unfinished Quake 4 lying around somewhere too!

I would recommend halo or halo 2 for that kind of carry on, Legendary mode. Though you probably know all about that.

Ooooh yes! Many sleepless nights are to be blamed on the Halo games. I can;t wait for Halo 3 now!

Kameo is well worth finishing, its a beautiful game.

I'm pretty sure R6 Vegas is offline co-op, it sure is fun on-line co-op too :)

The Quake 2 disk that came with Quake 4 has co-op if you feel like playing something retro...

I had R6 3 (I think) for the Xbox and that was co-op, so that's whats made me think Vegas would be too.

Any particular reason why not? I played and liked the demo of the 1st level. And the N64 PD was brilliant back in the day.

Does it!? Brilliant! I loved that game on the PS1 and I've not even tried it on the 360 copy I've got.

You could work your way through a PES league. Just turn off auto player switching or you will kick your TV in.

We actually just finished a season of Madden 07 a few weeks back. We tend to just play against each other on PES6.

Fair enough. It might be worth a go though. If you up the difficulty a bit to give you a challenge, getting a good 'relationship' going in front of goal can be pretty cool. Flicking it up for your mate to volley, knocking in through balls and the like. Its a pretty good laugh.

But, like I said, the switching AI is poor, so you need to turn it off.

Rainbow Six is, or has been for me at least, a fantastic co-op experience. Especially on realistic, works very well imo (bar the strip level, the spawning there is terrible).

The demo has it in the HUD to do system link, so yes there is system link co-op. The demo HUD is the final game's, just with options disabled. You can offline co-op the demo too...

Do try Insane. Working together really comes into it's own.

Will do one day. It's just we've been playing it alot recently (finished it on Casual twice and Hardcore once), so we're giving it a break for a bit.

I saw PDZ (not in tin) for 12.99 in Blockbuster Video last night. Is this a good offer or could I get it cheaper elsewhere?
