Registered 8 years agoHmmmm can't seem to find a specs list for it but I am confident I should be able to run it a 1400x900 at a decent speed.

Having played the MP beta, if you've got a system this hammers it's very, very old. -

It rapes your hard drive though. A WD Raptor really helps. -

Registered 11 years agoObviously my experiences are only from the MP beta but I was running at 1440x900 with everything maxed out on a full server, using FRAPS to capture video and it was running fine on my E6600/X1950XTX PC. I've run the MP beta in a local lan on my work PC's integrated Intel graphics and it was ok at 800x600 at lower settings.
In fact if you want to see how it ran on my gaming PC there's six minutes/130Mb of me being rubbish here, a 13 meg shorter clip is here. Both are encoded in Xvid. This space left intentionally blank.

Registered 9 years agoTo be fair Whizzo, not surprised it plays maxed out with an E6600 and x1950XTX. I guess I will settle for Medium settings on my x800xt / 3.4 P4 combo. -

Registered 11 years agoAs I said it was fine on my work PC with integrated shitey Intel stuff, pretty much any PC from the last 4-5 years should run this no trouble.
Even maxed out this game is showing how long it's been in development, if you can run HL2 you'll be able to run this. This space left intentionally blank.

Registered 8 years agoJust make sure to turn off dynamic lighting.gif)
It runs like a dog with max textures and dynamic lighting (1fps when looking in certain directions). You have to turn the texture resolution to medium to get a descent framerate if you want the nice lighting.
3800x2
7800GS 256Mb
2Gig RAM
The problem is with the graphics card being only 256Mb. Ideally you will need a 512 to run it at max settings.

Registered 7 years agoI'm thinking of buying the game if it gets fair reviews. I am just wondering if anyone knows if it will be available on STEAM or similar service.
Oh, and do you think it will run on my system? Specs are as follows:
AMD Athlon 64 3400+ (2,2Ghz)
NVIDIA GeForce 6800 256Mb
1,5Gb RAM
Thanks! -

It's been confirmed that Metaboli will have it, but obviously not at launch.

It will run but you're going to have to adjust the detail down until you get a decent framerate.

Registered 7 years agoThanks for the answers. I hope it'll still look nice on my system. Obviously it would run on it since it's not an antique setup, but if it looks like the first Doom I don't know if I want to invest money on it.
Good news that it's coming to Metaboli. Hopefully really soon after the launch. -

We've got an exclusive video interview with Oleg from GSC on 'THQ TV' here:
http://www.thq-games.com/uk/thqtv/show/763
We filmed this during the press trip to Chernobyl last October - it features some new live footage from the exclusion zone itself, and some details on the making of the game you may not be aware of
hope you like it!

Registered 8 years agoHow's this for atmosphere/exploration...Is it gripping stuff? Also, how big of a dedicated online multi/mod following is STALKER likely to enjoy? I have my SE pre-ordered, and can't wait till it arrives. This looks fantastic! -

From all I've heard, atmopshere and exploration is what the game is about, and where it excels.

Registered 8 years agoIt is very, very atmospheric. Interior sections are claustrophobic and tense, a bit like Doom and F.E.A.R, and the outdoors is eerie with all the abandoned buildings. -
