Registered 4 years agoWe all knew that. I get that they can't talk about it for legal reasons but why did they have to dance around the subject so much? I don't know about anyone else, but I rather felt like they thought I was a dimwit.
I don't think this is going to go well now. I drummed up a lot of interest in ex-players and those who are too cheap to pay for MMOs but that's long, long waned... add to that fact that so many people have gone over to the US servers...
To be honest, as much as I love the game and remain a lifer I no longer give a crap about it. All this faffing about and cryptic responses has drained my interest to a very low point. I'm just not that excited anymore.
Meh. Role on SWTOR. -

Anyway, I should find time to finish the latest book some time. Outside of the story quests, farming for tokens to get armour which allows me to farm more tokens is not my cup of tea; -

I have a permanent VIP membership (due to a cheap lifetime sub years ago) but I never seam to play.
So could quite happily jump in on new toon.Known as 'Sharzam' in 98.5% of games

Registered 8 years agoYeah we definitely did Admittedly it was when it went free-to-play rather than when it was added to Steam, but we all started new characters, playing for the first time. We even managed to get an EG Newbie Guild started up.
Everyone stopped playing though, so it's no big loss. Nice to have yet another re-launch, get more people playing again.Kirby is the man! Even if he wasn't, he'd just ingest and become one.

I never transferred my account from Codies to Turbine. I not can't figure out how to do it - any ideas? Would like my old chars! -

Registered 8 years agoI'm afraid you've waited too long, they kept the transfer system open as long as they could (or chose to), but it's now closed. You old characters thought one could simply walk into Mordor, tried, and got fed to the Fell Beasts. Sorry to bring that bad news, Daz190uk
They couldn't keep them any longer because, since they no longer ran the game, they were legally bound to remove that data from their servers by a certain date due to Data Protection laws. Those same laws prevented them from just handing over your details and character data to Turbine without your consent.
It's unfortunate, and you'd have hoped that they'd send out an e-mail to all non-transferred accounts before then (maybe they did? I'm not sure) but that's how it is. At least it gives you the opportunity to start again with the others in this thread, though that's of little comfort I imagine.Kirby is the man! Even if he wasn't, he'd just ingest and become one.

Going to give this a go again now it runs on Mac OSX through Steam but 30Gb! Christ.
I may have to wait a little bit while it downloads.
