Just listening to the first two albums. So many bangers. Asylum Speakers is ridiculously good.

I think this is the way modern hip hop is headed. More exploratory sounds and emphasis on beat production rather than the focus being on MC's. Free album download as well, a practice which I hope will become more common.

Really liking forward to this album. They're both awesome so this has to work. Also for me Homeboy Sandman has been getting better and better with each album.

Nice that UK producers are doing well too. See also the last Open Mike Eagle album.

Some really good tracks on this.

If you like Instrumental stuff, I've been loving Tall Black Guy recently.
Tempo Dreams is a great compilation he put together:

And he new album 8 Miles To Moenart is good stuff too.

Neither are free though so maybe you won't like that so much. :)

Acid Rap is such a good record. I just can't forgive the "chance, acid rapper... Slap happy faggot slapper" line. Shame, but fuck that guy.

You can check out their channel on YouTube. Most of the tracks on the album have videos at this point.

No mention of the Earl Sweatshirt album yet? I've not heard a better hiphop record this year.

Jesus, so really great bangers on here, haven't followed Hip hop in years tbh, the last album I brought was EPMD business never personal, suppose that's considered old skool now? So what would something that I considered old school such as Special ED/MC Shy D/Curtis Blow be known as now? old,old skool perhaps?
