I love watching this. Great to hear Mos Def break down MF Doom lyrics and sing along.
That's ace. Impressive that Mos Def can recall all that, clearly he feels quite a connection to Doom's ways.

You are a factory of sadness.

The fact that I'm also seeing Nas and Jay-Z, and yet all I'm thinking about is Tribe demonstrates just how excited I am about the Tribe bit.

Oh right, yeah, all of them (and proper original line-up as well, so Jarobi is there).

Tip and Phife made up a while ago, largely because Phife's days are sadly probably numbered :(

Enjoying Magna Carta, though there are some skippable tracks for sure. Wish 'Beach is Better' had been turned into a full song.

Cheers for the reminder completely forgot about that. Spotify is fucking awesome. Saw your post and now I'm listening to the new album.

@kalel How much did you pay for your ticket? Quite fancy going to see TCQ, Nas, Jay-Z and JT but don't care for the others.
  • Deleted user 11 July 2013 17:45:56
    75.

In truth, I paid that just to see Tribe. Anything else is a bonus.

Yep, 83 with the booking fee. Was just wondering if advance tickets had been cheaper.

Will have to decide quickly, tickets probably won't be available for long now. Surprised they're not sold out already tbh.
  • Deleted user 11 July 2013 17:51:18
Amazed they're still available. Days 1 and 2 sold out almost immediately. Day 3 has been really slow.

I guess people are less up for it on a Sunday.

    Very jealous you're seeing Tribes.

Any idea of what sort of setlist they play these days? A mix of The Low End Theory and Midnight Marauders would be fantastic.

Yeah it's pretty good, think this and bp3 are pretty dull when it comes to his deliver.
I listened to the first three tracks on this album and then pusha t - millions and numbers on the board and there is so much more energy in pusha work plus his flow just bouncing perfect with the beats.

To be fair to jay z he been around for time but he just seems to of lost the edge.
  • Deleted user 16 July 2013 12:02:19
No, there is nothing gangster in there.

Was listening to The Blueprint this morning. Still a classic and Jay-Z's best album by a mile. Not really feeling the new album, although it's got the odd good track in there.
